Im not sure about Skirmish, but a nade hit should only AT MOST count to stop the tank from moving for 5 minutes and thats it. To count it as a kill is ridiculous. It's a tank for God's sake.

at skirmish a hit is a kill basically. you cant shoot when you are hit so its pretty much a kill to me.

My memory doesn't serve me too well here, but IIRC a nade hit took you out (no moving, no shooting) for 5mins but it didn't count against your "hit" counter. A rocket took you down for 5mins also but after 3 rocket hits and you had to leave the field. But yeah, nade or rocket it still had the same effect.

Tank kills

TANK KILLS


1. RPG-Bazookas-Rocket launchers etc. They must be manufactured & pre-approved by Game manager as well as chronoed by Tec staff and receive a zip tie in order to be on field.
2. Once hit the tank must leave the field. It may re-enter once it is off and cleaned up.



This year we have some changes. We will only be allowing three tanks per side for ION 08. All tanks must apply to be on the field. All tankers must e-mail a bio as well as full photos of your tank attn: Nyxx at info@skirmish.com from there it will be looked over and sent to the ION Generals for the final decision of what tanks will fight for their side. Please name your tank for easier tracing. We will e-mail you once a decision is made.

so every time an rpg hits a tank we have to reinsert? no waiting 5 min a few times first? Thats going to be a pain if we are deep in the woods.

Rule #2 = Stupid and needs to be reevaluated. It takes a lot of time just to get the tanks in and out the field. That leaves the tanks constantly sidelined and out the game. The tank should be disabled once or twice before having to be reinserted.

If you want you can go on the field as long as you sign a waver... you can take pictures, I did that once.

Hey, we dealt with it at NJ Nam...

Now I like his idea though. It would be hard to put in effect but think of this (maybe for another year since it appears that this year is setup already)

We all know that the Pazerfaust/Pazerschrek and the Bazooka Were not effective at destroying tanks when hitting them in the front. Perhaps make a tank kill has to be a side or rear shot...

And if the round hits a tread, then they are disabled and can't move.

When it comes to tank V Tank battles, one round one kill... (unless its a tread shot then that rule applys)

While in theory that may be a good idea, I don't know how well it can be pulled off. You are now asking a ref not only to see the tank get hit but where it got hit. Can be a judgement call which can lead to disputes. I'm for the one shot anywhere the tank is hit rule.

Now I will say I agree with Blackangel and Danterhoo on the hit and you have to reinsert rule. I agrre that the tank shoiuld be disabled for at least 5 minutes when hit but it should take more than one hit before you have to reinsert. The rule as it is now makes them very ineffective. When your limited to three to begin with this rule can almost make them a nonfactor pretty quick.

What vendors are going to be there?

We are still debating whether or not we will be able to make it up for that event. We've done D-Day for 3 years now and we did the Monster Game last year and are planning on attending that event again this year.

What products would you guys like to see at this years ION?

So does that mean if we show up Thursday we can't set up.? I know a number of people planning on being there Thursday and setting up camp. Me being one of them. We were allowed to show up Thursday last year. Have the rules changed?
