Skirmish Annoucements!!

Here we go Gang! the sun is high in the sky, the kiddies are out of school..thats right, you got it, The Invasion is almost here!!
Check your gear, get your upgrades from that website, dust off your camping gear.It is Time to prep the maps for driving to Jim Thorpe PA.
Just A few reminders to let you know some of the things going on.

Look at the Map: The Bases have changed! so Germans are Now on Hemlock the Allies are Now on Sherwood Forrest. That means that The Camping arrangements have flipped out also! so if you a hardcore player of the game from years past, you have your favorite team that you always play for, you need to camp on the other side closer to your base! our parking crews will be on hand to help you find your way on your arrival Friday!

Paintball Central will be on hand doing the Air with the big truck located conveniently between the two insertion points. Co2 will still be in our Main picnic area fir your liquid gun needs.

Folks! Very important, Fire Works, this has been an issue every year, Please while it is legal for people from out of state to purchase them it is still ILLEGAL to fire them in in the great State of Pennsylvania!
We are Warning you now More local Police will be on hand this year to arrest people shooting Fireworks.

Referees Wanted! If you do not have the ability to play this year or you are one of us hard core referees that love the sport of reffing Give Our Ref Manager a call@ 570-325-5435 THIS is Not to call for Reservations, this is if you want to work the Event!!

Vendors!! I do believe that this will be the Biggest Vendor Show Ever!!All the Major Vendors will be on Hand for the event so check them out!! If you are a vendor go to Skirmish.com and e-mail us for more info to be at the event!

That is All for Now!!
More updates are coming st stay tuned!

Do you happen to have a vendor list? Will NXe be there? What are some of the new vendors we'll see this year that weren't here in years past?

Psyched to see even more vendors will be there. I need a few new things. I just need to make sure whatever I buy the wife doesn't know about. After already buying $800-900 worth of gear, if I buy anything else she may kill me.

Hey Nixx, this would be a Great time to talk to everyone about Spies and the rules about that role.
Also, how if a player is caughting playing against the side they have signed up for with out having a designated spy role, they will get thrown out of the game.

AND remember all those that are thinking about being spies, if you sign up as a team with many players, and then one acts like a spy for that side, the rest of the team is still obligated to play for the side they signed up for. They can not all be spies.
Nixx can explain this better.
There are so many false accounts now and the fools that think they can cloak themselves around here to get information makes me laugh.
Thank you.

Hi Nyxx. Got a list of tank rules and regulations?

In particular I'd like to know:
-PSI and FPS limit on air cannons
-If an external kill switch is required
-Required safety equipment in the tank.. (fire extinguisher, First Aid Kit, etc)

Also, what can we expect from the "safety inspection" prior to the game?

Field rules for the tanks such as:
-Do grenade hits count and for what?
-Rocket hits, how many before you leave the field?
-FPS limit on tank markers (250 last year IIRC).
-How close is a tank allowed to be to a structure/insertion point
-Tank bunkers: IOW if a tank is running you aren't allowed to be within 10 feet of it. If it is shut off, not moving, but still in play can it be used as a bunker and still fire?

Thanks!

Yes! Any and all information on grenade kills would be a help. We've go lots of ideas we're planning on building...it would just be nice to see if it's going to be worth it.

Oh, almost forgot...

Tanks for night play:
-Are they allowed?
-What equipment is required? Lights, reflectors, etc.

Just wanted to mention this as I mentioned in the ION field map thread. Is anything going to be done about people repositioning the cover on the beach? It gets really annoying when the beach gets won over by one team and then they move everything to their advantage and the opposing team can't fight back until the start of the next day as long as they wake up early enough to get out there first! Thanks. -Gio

Grenade hits being allowed to disable a tank is weaksauce. IRL tanks shrug off grenades unless you get REAL lucky. This is one of those hold out rules from the early days of PAVs when there were very few, if any, launchers. The players only hope of disabling a tank was a nade. Since then plenty of AT resources are being fielded to take out tanks. IMO the nade rule should be retired.
