Protege leak
Hi guys. I seldom ask for help but I am at my wits end. My protege has a small leak coming from the noid area. It does not get louder if you pull the bolt out. It does not change by adjusting the lpr up or down. However, it does get better or worse by adjusting the hpr. I have taken it apart several times slowly to make sure I've done everything right. I tried a different noid to make sure that was not the issue. Its not coming from the racetrack as I have replaced the oring and the leak seems to be coming from under the grips. My next step is to ship it to Big Bob but I was hoping for some more ideas to try. Thanks.

I have an 05 alias that I have not used in about a yr. I went to air it up and I got off about 3 shots then nothing. The electronics are working because the gun cycles. When I push down on the bold I can hear air come out I just cant get the bolt to cycle. Any ideas?

experiencing the same problem also.
My protege was firing fine. I bottomed out the hpr. Set the lpr 1.5 turns in after flush.
fired the marker, make blop blop sound couple times, then i heard the leak coming from solenoid area.
no clue what is going on. help would be much appreciated.

hopefully not necroposting too badly....
I've got a problem with my 2k2 gz timmy's membrane pad. The right button works fine, but the left button doesn't seem to work. This just happened after I took the grips off to install a trigger spring. I'm wondering if I knocked a wire loose or if the membrane pad crapped out. If it did crap out, where can I get a new one?

haha, I was getting frustrated, hit the frame and the membrane pad works fine now. Do you know if bob long is still doing board flashes for $40? I need a 10.5 psp compatible board. If they aren't, I may pick up a 2k5 frame and board. In that case, would I be able to use my current solenoid and hosing?
sorry for all the questions. Never owned a timmy before and I'm trying to figure everything out.

Here is my problem:
I have a brand new Vice and I was trying to learn how to take it apart and relube everything so that I can tune the gun yself without issues. Well, I have issues. I took everything apart nice and slow and watched what I was doing. I was following a video of how to do this so I don't know what the issues is. Anyway, I get to the HPR. I take it apart nice and easy put it back together nice and easy. Get to the point where I air the gun up so I put both reg screws to flush. I then air up the gun, but air does not seem to be flowing so I try increasing the velocity by screwing the screw inward. It gets to the point that it is getting very difficult to screw any further and still no air flow. The internals for my HPR don't look exactly the sae as this particular video; however, I feel I put the back in correctly. I then reoved y hpr from the gun and turned air on. At first there was nothing then I turn the screw inward a bunch and it begins to flow. I then put it back on the gun and more of the same. I can pretty much say it is user error, I just don't know where my error is. Please help.
***STUPID QUESTION ALERT***
After you set the LPR pressure, are you suppossed to degas the gun and reinsert the ram?

Set the LPR pressure to 70 psi, then degas and insert the ram again. Then zero out the HPR and gradually turn up the pressure while shooting paint at a chrono. You should be able to acheive velocity just fine. Make sure that you're paint is well-matched to your barrel as well...some newer Vice's won't chrono higher than 260's with small paint.
And their are two types of reg internals for the 360 reg. Their are some that come with a delrin piston, and others that come with an aluminum piston. The aluminum pistons are in the newer Vice's and are considered the upgraded reg internals.

When adjusting the LPR I had my HPR turned in about three from flush. That is when I started to adjust the LPR. Is that ok? I have the LPR at about 75 psi right now. I have the aluminum reg internals.

Three turns in is a good place to start with your HPR, and you shouldn't have any trouble setting the LPR with the HPR being in 3 turns.
