rev-i feature... what does "RF Ready" mean?

Anybody install an RF transmitter in the rev-i yet? I'm looking at the board and it looks like I'm going to need to put it in line with the solenoid wire, but I'm hoping this "RF Ready" feature that DP advertises means I'm missing something and there is an easier way.
Any thoughts?

RF ready means that it's got a port for you to use to plug in a transmitter chip. I'll have to look at the REV-i board to see where it is, but on the other boards that APE makes, there is a separate port for the chip.

Thanks. I didn't see it. I guess I'll just need to look more closely.

Based on the manual pics it doesnt appear that there is a port on the board, unless on the back of the board that orange box on the left side is the port (normally they are white)

The orange thing is just a wire band.
I couldn't find a plug for the empire magna RF board PLUS the solenoid plug doesn't fit any of the wiring harnesses that came with the RF chip. Now what do I do? Do I need to solder the chip on?
How could I have gone from "RF Ready" to needing to solder? I must be missing something.

I have heard that the adapter for Spyders is compatible. I have never owned or used an RF adapter myself but that is what has been said. I know a few guys on here do use an RF setup with their Rev-i's.

Barbeg, you can dissasemble the solenoid plug and insert the RF barbs into the plug in parallel. This will prevent you from having to cut any wires and remove the RF adaptor if needed in the future. Check out this old link. It should help

Thanks. That seems to have worked. Although I would hardly call that "RF Ready"

You plug a wire into another wire and then that wire into the board....how is that not RF ready?
