amazing event !!!

wow great job !!! it seems that the nppl has this down to a science now, even with a mini hurricane thrown in , the only bummer is the sheer lack of turnout of fans, regardless i would say that in order to continue to have great events, reffing, turf, registration etc i dont care where they throw them, as long as the plane fares are cheap,i mean its cool and all to have them at stadiums but i wonder if they can sustain the quality and keep them there ,, i would rather it be at a lesser location but with the same amenaties sp*

well, the NPPL seem to have the logistics of throwing an event pretty much down, like you said, turff's good, reffing's better etc. now they need to figure out how to attract more vendors to the events outside california. Jax was very disappointing, even some of the major league sponsors had no booths... not only that, but I was under the impression there was almost no "outside" traffic, everyone I saw there seem to be already involved in paintball one way or another, so the proposition of having these events on areas that offer high visibility to the outside public fails big time. Some local media coverage was good, but it didn't seem to bring in the new consumers they seem to expect, IMHO... they need more balance between the huge ammount of vendors for HB and the rest of the events...

Your biggest event is your biggest event for a reason... it's bigger than all the others.

Slack in some respects, but not all. Horribly slack is pretty severe.

paintball in genaral is down alot,, i would say 50% ,so the fact that theres 50% less teams, players, venders, fans, my only concern is that nppl can survive, im fairley sure they lost a ton of money on this one.

Good job on making sunday Finn!

Wish I was there event sound like fun. They had a smaller turn out but they estimate to do well in buffalo. We will see what happens, but I hope the attendance of the NPPL and the sport in generals turns around soon. I guess the economy will help determine some of that.

well it was kinda stupid to hold an event a week after the psp
a large chunk of the teams that play both NPPL and PSP, will choose PSP over NPPL...
but eh not much u can do

I bet the comparison between World Cup and Phoenix would seem to have more "slack" if they were right after the other. PSP trends upwards throughout the year, and NPPL trends downwards for the simple fact that one starts the year with their largest projected tournament and the other ends the year that way. Obviously it is not a problem for the NPPL, or they would attempt to schedule HB later in the year. And, barring scheduling conflicts with the city, there's no reason they can't because HB has the same damn weather every day of the year. In fact, every event in both leagues should be on a SoCal beach. And when I inherit all of Bill Gates' money using trickery, I will buy both leagues and make it happen.

Jacksonville is such a wack city.

The Landing was ok some nights, but other than that there seemed to be nothing to do.

The event was fun except for the rainstorms. My team jumped in and helped take down the netting on Friday during the storm. After seeing first hand what went down, I thought they did a great job getting everything back online after Friday night.

I'm also a little biased though because my GF has some family in the area that took the team out to eat and the team got to do what they've been dying to do in Florida; see some gators. Can't imagine how some other teams might have fared.

Our team can't wait for Buffalo. I can see how some teams might be turned off after this weekend, but, like I said, I think NPPL did a great job in handling it.
