On/Off ASA?

So a ref at my field and a friend suggested that i get an on/off ASA, ive read that these are great to get but how do they work? Like how do they make my gun(i own a 09 slg basic) work better?

it wont make your gun work better or anything. just a nice addition for your gun so it'll be easier to take your tank off.

yeah i have the dye on/off airport asa. wow i can actuelly tank my tank off. with the stock asa your tank gets cross threaded and it makes it really hard to take off. with the on/off it takes all the air out for you and then its so easy

the on/off that comes standard on the Dangerous Power G3 is really nice and you can order it on their site.

Yeah I'd definitely vouch for the Dangerous Power
RAPS. It may seem a little pricey at around $50 but I think it's totally worth it. It's got a practically goof proof on/off mechanism and it comes with a gauge.

Do you really need an on/off with the 09 slg? They have a bleed function dont they? So an on/off is not as crucial as other guns. Or am i mistaken?

unless you want to bleed all your air out of the tank every time you want to take it off, then yes, you dont need an on/off.

the bleed button is mainly for releasing extra air after you've taken off your tank, 'recocking' the bolt back.

an on/off would just be much simpler and nicer to have.

I added a 08 New Desingz asa and its great. Makes working on this annoying "ball pinching" problem a lot easier.

whatever you do, don't get the bob long gear drive on/off asa. the express mount doesn't work too well on the UL SLG. luckily i was able to return mine. ended up getting a CP pro mini on/off. it's small and sleek, and the knob is really easy to turn.
