Really there is not much difference. You get a little weight added on but it's nothing big. It's really just a cheap way to add a lite flare to your gun. Over all it feels great.

Did it add anything to the inside of the gun? Does it scratch or wear off? Does it crease with heat or crack with cold? Sorry I'm not familiar with hydro dipping. Looks amazing!

No they tape everything off so the film does not get anywhere you don't want it. It's a automotive clear that they use to protect the graphic. So it's pretty durable to weather. If your going to skip you gun across a street then you might get some scratches on it, but normal paintball use I haven't had any issues. If you can afford anodizing or laser engraving those are better options but I got this done for 100 bucks even. Just something cheap to spice up a common gun.
