most vendors have on there web page a warranty checker.you put in the ser# of said unit and it pop up if it under warranty from the date it was built not purchased. you can call best buy 800 number and see if they can send you a copy of your bill.if you used a best buy card or a credit card you should be able to look back online to see when you bought the laptop.
