Paintball in Fairbanks next weekend!
Hey everyone, I am trying to get a group together for play next Saturday. I'm looking at playing at Splatz if they are open, or in the woods if not. I should be having about six of my friends going, and everyone with a gun is invited!
Send me your MSN addy so I can give updates on location and time. I'll also edit in information as I get it here.
Let me know if you are in!
Oh, BTW, is your field open yet Eric?

Just an FYI:
The male counter part was out playing with some guys on Friday night- they said they were having some sort of tournament in the woods off Repp Road this coming weekend. I've no idea exactly who, what, or why. I was really run down and not in the mood to behave around people so I didn't go, thus the secondhand info.
Might go out this coming weekend, or I might just send the two boys out if I want to enjoy some quiet time and am having a hard time restraining myself from throwing VMs at people.
Anyway, go and enjoy yourself. 'Nuff with all that paintball is serious business nonsense. Like RamboPreacher always says, PBIF! (Paintball is Fun)

They played this past Friday evening- I anticipate some of the people there were SpecOps or something from what he said about their play style and clothing. (Not knocking them, I just don't take paintball as seriously as what seems to be a lot of people around.)
I don't know about the rest of last weekend, it turned into practical stuff time not fun stuff like paintball.
All I know was that some of the guys out there told Joe they were having a tournament out there this coming weekend. We're going to try to go out there and just play paintball/mess with some new toys maybe Sunday if they are all too much into the tourniment stuff on Saturday. We're trying to encourage his son to play rather than hide behind stuff for this year.

I am curious as to what the mean by tournament. I think my definition and theirs will differ greatly.
Anyone know who is doing the small speedball field (pallets and wooden bunkers) off of Hurst Rd. next to the Fire Station?

Honestly, you got me on that one too. I wasn't there to ask them or split hairs, and the idea of playing a tournament out at Repp is sort of wierd considering the field/woods/whatever you want to call it conditions.

Thanks! A bunch of the guys at work keep asking me if I know what is going on with it since they know I play paintball. I'll pass that on. Some are rather upset at the lack of netting near the road. Like it's my fault that people I don't even know are playing in a way that makes them nervous.

Yeah, there is a lack of netting considering how close it is to the road.

This came in a Spec Ops Game Locater email:
WAR GAMES REPP RD
5/17/2008 11:00:00 AM
"Game Details:We will be putting on a new kind of game it is called Territories. we use chess timers to capture bunkers and tactical points. we will be renting guns and selling ammo and air, so bring some money with you if you need those things. we will also fill up to 4500 psi if you have a tank that is hydro tested. all safety gear will be provided with gun rentals."
I'm gonna ask around with the guys I'm playing with, and see what the general consensus is about where to play. I'll know tonight.

If you guys aren't interested in that, want to reschedual for Sunday afternoon, like 1 or so out there? If so it would be BYOE (Bring Your Own Everything) but we do have a decent chroney and other safety equiptment.
Honestly, I'd just like to go out and play some regular paintball- especially since it will be the future stepson's first time out this year. I don't want him getting overwhelmed by all of the rules.

Yeah, that sounds more fun than what those guys have going on Saturday. I'll play that. How many people are going in your group?
