Made these "unexploded ordnance" out of old bowling pins.
Cut the fins out of 2 x 4 lumber. Screw them into the bowling pins evenly spaced. Paint the tail section. Plastic Paint sticks pest to the pins as they are covered with a plastic dip like substance.

Recommendations for a Timer?
I would like to build a prop that uses a count down timer and sounds a loud siren when the timer runs out.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks.

this is my first porp. it is a spot free dry tube with the plastic cutt off and the stuff removed. i taped some sterio wires to it and hooked up a digital watch with timer. then i hooked up a battery with harness and added a light to show when it is activated. tell me what you think.

Some of my latest props...Demolition charges. Very simple & cheap...
3 pieces of 11"x2" PVC spray painted red ($1.80), electrical tape, scrap wire & a few self-tapping screws (approx $1).
These ones are also cheap...3" cardboard packing tube with scrap electrical conduit. The "circuit board" is a standard paper laser print of a free clip-art image, laminated & spray glued to the tube.
I pull alot of my prop parts from a dumpster at work - always good for scrap electrical parts, cardboard & other random cool bits. I made 6 of each of the props shown above for a total out-of-pocket expense of $8.

Actually not a problem...most of the guys on my team are cops, so we know what to say in case of being pulled over. And once they get delivered to the scenario producer, they're not my problem anymore...
Also, my wife builds/manages props professionaly for a theatre company & routinely drives around with a truck full of muskets, stage pistols, swords...and the occasional sack of bloody limbs & severed body parts (depending on the show).
We're used to it...

Royal Ridges Paintball Props
I just try to keep it simple.
1. I Have several stuffed animals for hostages
2. Plastic vials with glow sticks for virus/anti-virus
3. Grey PVC with simple led light kit for reactor(hot glue worked well for the LEDs)
4. Large 4'x3' flags on 5' closet rod (wooden dowel) "players love the video game size of these"
I try to keep all my electronic props under 12 volts and if i can get it under 9volts, well we all know where to find those!
I will post a couple of pics soon if you want.

i am looking at building a bio-bomb prop for a scenario idea i am working up. basically, it would be an anti terrorist game.
i work in a lab, so i can get ahold of a lot of simple things that look like they might be found in a large dirty bomb, fairly easily.
i was thinking about trying to find a way to get a bunch of small tubes filled with some paint and then have a timed valve that would release the paint and mix it in a larger container at the bottom when the timer hits "0". i was also thinking af finding a way so that when the device mixes, 15-30 seconds later, it ignits a smoke bomb to indicate that every one in the general area is now dead, lol.
sofar, its not much past the idea phase, but i was talking to my friend at the pb shop that actually organizes most of the scenarios in my area, he said that it might not be a bad idea, granted, i do need to flesh it out a bit.
ill have to take pics when i start building it. it might be pretty cool if i can get it to work.

Home made with a block of wood for sturdy frame, covered it in modeling clay (coyote and forest green) sanded a saftey light down and taped it on with black electrical tape. Oh and i put a bolt in the clay under the button so all you have to do is tap it to turn on/off, and cat5 cables for wires (any wire will do).

Take an old travel alarm clock. Visit a junk yard for an old car horn, and an air conditioner relay from the under hood fuse block of a dodge dakota (where I got mine). 2 6volt batteries and some wire.
Take the cover off the alarm clock without destroying. (good luck). Take the wires from the buzzer, my have to extend the wires, and hook them to the active or trip side of the relay. The other 2 prongs of the relay get 12 or 14 Ga. wire hooked to them. One leading to the Negative (ground) side of the car horn. The other to the Negative side of battery #1. Positive of #1 Bat. to Negative of #2 Bat., Positive of #2 Bat. (hooked in series becomes a non-acid 12 volt) to Positive on car horn. Set the clock time, then set alarm time. 9 volt clock works best.
Should work great for a timed mission.
Install into a LARGE box or a small brief case for any size nuke or bomb simulation. I like to use a bit of velcro to mount the clock as it tends to be the first thing ripped out when found. Gonna make one in a day or two, will post pics when finished.
If you use extra wires and relays, the wrong wire cut can set off the bomb.
if you know your diodes and relays, you can make this real complicated.

Gots a little bomb mission. whatcha think
Ok my buddy painted hazard strips on a couple of ammo boxes
For your local Mil. Surplus store. Now simply cut a few pieces of PVC
And paint one in a safe color (green, blue, ect.) and at least 2 to3 in
A danger color(red,yellow,ect.). Zip tie the safe color "fuse" into the
Box and have a Ref hide it in the field. One sides mission is to find
And return the "power cell" to friendly CP. Now give the danger fuses
To the enemy and have them issued along a few Zip ties to an
Engineer type character. If they can sneak a danger fuse into the
"power cell" before it is retrieved, then the act of returning the cell
Will result in a CP kill. If any person other then an engineer opens the
Cell immediate detonation with a substantial "kill" radius.
Think needs some tuning, but good/bad?

LAW rocket launcher basics
With the launcher our crew have built, this is what I can tell you...
1. High Pressure source... This can be a CO2 or air tank
2. Regulator...to allow to lowering of the high pressure supply to the low pressure firing
3. Reserve tank... Is needed to hold enough volume of low pressure air to propel the Nerf based round down range
4. Quick Release Valve... is needed to allow the maximum volume release in the shortest time possible
5. Launch Tube...is needed to both hold and direct the round down range
There are more specific details, but that is the basic LAW system in a nutshell. Hope it helps
