the spiral rifling and ive used.it on the tlr and i like it so theres that and i would also want to buy an air tank you cam use co2 for the fenix but mainly compressed air so i would like something like that too um so yea my budget isnt a whole lot but i cam buy all the things ive listed

Tl;dr
New player mostly woodsball

Local and letting me test beforehand for 290$.

I don't think this is too bad of a deal, especially because from the pictures the gun looks to be in great shape. Just looking to get some feedback if possible. Thanks!

That is a good buy unless it is beaten to heck. Make sure you have a barrel swab. Hammerheads are good barrels but do not shoot clear after breaks very well.

hey everyone, new to the forum and its awesome thus far. ive played paintball when i was younger and started with a tippmann 98 custom. its been a while and the thing is gone and i plan on buying a used gun from a pbnationer. just wanted to confirm this was a decent deal, no one ripping each other off. done a fair amount of research but its a little bit overwhelming. the gun is a a 2011 bob long g6r. upped trigger, tadao board, pillow bolt, pressure tester. its set up with a 68/4500 pmi tank for 715. thanks in advance for any input.

A new spyder will not give you the most bang for your buck its not a "bad" buy. If you like it then buy it. Buying used will get you the most bang for your buck. You can probably find an azodin blitz used for around 100 and they will be essentially the same gun.
Barrels dont do anything in terms of upgrades. the only reason why you want to buy a new barrel is either that you want to match your paint with your barrel, aesthetics or weight. Unless that specific barrel hits 2/3 of these, i wouldnt buy it.
compressed air is the best with very few exceptions

Thats an okay deal,No one is really gaining or loosing anything. If you like the gun and are fine with that setup I would purchase it.

That depends on the condition of the g6r and the hydro date of the PMI tank. In general i would say that is not a bad deal however, make sure you have a hopper that can keep up with the gun.

To OP.

That's pretty good. Some things I would suggest changing up, though.

On the rotor, pick up the new style battery harness and anti-jam claw. Make sure to use lithium batteries to prevent any jamming (although it still may occur). This will help you immensly, trust me.

On the rest... See if you can get the sprung version of the bolt you have. Your efficiency and consistency will go through the roof and you won't ever have to worry about bolt stick or random velocities anymore as well.

If it isn't already spring ready, have it bored out and sprung. That'll run you about $20 + shipping if you go to one of the bigger names in modifications like pooty51, but go to the shocker owners section and see if anyone can fab/mod yours for less. I forget who, but he had some HEs done for me at $10 apiece.

The NDZ bolt is one of the better bolts out there(when sprung) price wise. Don't worry about the "better" bolts. You won't find a eigen bolt. If you do buy it.

The battery straps, because the rotor's battery pack is in a place with lots of room and low tension, so any excessive jiggling or bumping and your loader will suddenly shut off, if you catch my drift.

The anti-jam claw just saves you a ****load of time in the case of a jam as the rotor is a forcefed loader and not a "smart" loader. So if there's a jam, either 1 of 2 things will happen:

1. Nothing. No feeding, you'll have to pour out all the paint somewhere to open it up and somehow dislodge the rogue ball.

2. breaks the ball, paint soup in hopper, wet painty balls go into your system, dirty breech and barrel, random curving shots for until you have a chance to clean your gun, barrel and hopper after the game.

Not a bad starting setup i just started not to long ago this was my original set up then ill post my updated.

Tippmann A5, WAS E-grip, 14" J&J Ceramic Barrel
(aside from it being really loud, i did very well in speedball even vs egos, geos, luxes, axes, etc etc)

JT Proflex
(I absolutely "HATE" this mask because i got shot in the mouth and the paint went straight through those huge holes got paint in my mouth and it felt like i got punched in the face... By chuck norris)

JT chest protector, gloves, neck gaurd
(not worth the money for any of it, Maybe the vest not much padding but you do stay cool and comfy)

48/3000 Empire Tank (hpa)

NXE 4+1 Tank/Pod pack
(havnt got the remote line still, but i figured might as well have the pack that allows me to and it also puts the pods more towards your sides but not to far)

All together buying everything new except the a5 which i got for 150 used with the egrip
I SPENT>>>> $350 (and regret it because now im doing what i should have done to begin with)

New set up
08 Ego *MINT* for $450
Cure 3 bolt and zic rammer

Dye i4 Black/Blue @ 110

Want to get a rotor but not ready to drop another 200 yet.... =( WTB: used rotor @ $90 So i have a
Magna (meh, i got it for free basically so I really cant *****)

So when i bought my used Ego I got a 68/4500 Crossfire Carbon fiber tank and the magna for an extra 110

putting me @ $575 + the $110 I4 = $700 At my door
(Here is the Ego pics ill have the rest posted later today I gotta get some sleep. Good Luck and Have Fun playing)
*Sorry my words weren't helpful but I hope they weren't a waste of your time thanks*
