Last time I looked, this was the updates forum. Nothing real funny in here.

Tony has explained why we are doing this and why it is a benefit to our users. We have the same "inconvenience" that everyone has claimed to have with the main difference being that our p.m's are usually a little more important than most.

it sucks because i check my e-mail through my Sidekick while i'm at work, but it takes about 10 minutes for PbN to load through my phone because of all the ads and crap, so i just check my PMs through my email box...now i have to wait until i get home to read my PMs and i might have already lost a deal because i waited too long to respond to the PM

Me too, I'm using a sidekick too and I like to leave a notification text on because I would able to read whatever they say right away instead of wasting 10 minutes for trying to get in PM box and read the message on my sidekick. Even tho, PM is your best friend and most important thing in PBNation because of B/S/T deal.

Also, I can read my emails at school, but I can't get to PbNation because of filters. While it was a good idea from the mods point-of-view, it sucks for some of us.

If you really needed to read a PM to complete a deal, why wouldnt you just wait the 10 more minutes for PBN to load and read it? Seriously, yall are complaining over something that really has no affect on you. Honestly, if you think about it, it just makes you spend 5-10 more minutes which you know you have.

I am 100% sure that Tony and the PBN Staff have their reasons for removing this feature. Im sure it helps PBN run smoother in some way, otherwise i doubt they would take the time to remove it. How would you not have 10 minutes for your phone to load?

The staff's decision was made in response to this thread.
Users were worrying about scammers and the fact that users could read the PM, but if confronted about an item or scamming, they could prove that they had not opened the PM.
