Wow only 30 people showed up, it's hard to believe the threat of rain kept people away. Could be people saving up for ION. I'm gonna try and make it out a couple times in June.

sorry for the double post but yea 150 a team, so 50 a PERSON and that also includes a free entry to come in and practice, so you are getting something that normally costs $35 a person for free. you must not play tournaments often or youd know that a deal and a half as far as entry goes. as far as paint, thats just the norm

Y'all know I'll be at WPP for the 19th it will be nice to meet more of the team and know more people too. =)
Question about the random person talking about the tourney is that normal pricing?? I'm fairly a newb to the whole scene of paintball when it comes to tourneys and such.

For our area registration is a little high considering the cheap prizes and being an open tourney.

150 - 200 is registration for a d6/d5 EPL tournament.. which is for divisional points.. not an open tournament..

I went to Taneytown yesterday. There wasn't much going on. Those who were there were just standing around so I decided to spend my money elsewhere. I drove up to WannaPlay and man, it was HOT! I played for about an hour before the heat started getting to me. The wife also didn't handle the heat well. So I drove back to Middletown, showered, and went out to karaoke.
I considered playing today, but it was still too hot. It kind of reminded me of Ft. Benning, GA where I did my basic training back in the day.
Next weekend looks like it is going to be hot. I shopped around on different news stations looking for the best weather, but 90 degrees was the lowest I could find. If I do play, I have to be home by 4:00 to give the wife and her friend a ride to beerfest in Harrisburg (I'm the DD, but two drunk chicks...maybe the Gods will smile down on me for once - probably not since said Gods did not bless me with good looks or the other physical trait that women find desirable).
Sometime this summer I would like to play with one of the local teams just to say I did. If any team needs a sub, just let me know and I'll let you know if that particular weekend is good for me.
I'm getting ready for ION at Skirmish next month. It is always a good time, even though the games are poorly organized and it is nearly impossible to find a "medic" (most of the time I just sit out a few minutes to be as honest as possible). I've been saving up and almost have enough to purchase a case of their paint (you know, the paint that costs as much as gold.)
I think I am also going to play in the Fulda Gap paintball game in North Carolina in November. It looks like fun. Just another game to add to my resume. After 20+ years of playing paintball, it is getting to be a pretty nice resume.
Gotta go chase some kids out of the yard. Yeah, I'm that kind of neighbor.
