Quick question to anybody that has went there before. My friend plans to do a group session which rates at $27.95 per person. He supposedly says that comes with everything (rental gun, mask, paintballs, etc) What if I already have my own gear and would like to pay just for admission? Is it still 27.95? Also could I just pay my own admission and meet up with the group at the field? Thanks guys, I hear Skirmish is really a really good pb scene.

if u bing ur own gear u can either go with the group as group member or not depends on if ur group has enough people without u to get the group rate rate or not. if they do have enough without u, u can just go along and buy ur own paint...etc

im gonna have to say if ur willing to pay at least 100 be my guest but LVP South has pretty good senerio ball feilds (i just ref'd planet of the apes) and actually is affordable i think its 50 a case plus 20 regular everyday admission. ive been in skirmish nd the senerio big games are amazing but i can deal with skirmish prices.

Got a few questions again for the locals over there:
What kind of paint do they use?
How much do you use after a day a skirmish?

I'm thinking 1000 for me is sufficient (planning on 5 hours of play) using my BL Protege. It's not going to be like speedball...(right?) >.<

The average player shoots between 800 and 1000 if you play primarily on the woods fields with some structured fields mixed in. At least that is what I have seen from taking groups there over the years. I have seen players shoot under 500 all day and others go through 1000 in the first two games. It all depends on your style of play and how the action escalates.

Single case prices are steep but if you get a big enough group together the prices drop to a more reasonable level. The main thing you are paying for is the diverse fields to choose from. You can play there a dozen times and never see it all. Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of the smaller local fields but after a few games I have every tree and bunker memorized.

If anyone is going on Sat May 22, my scenario team (AEGIS) is having a recruiting event at Skirmish that day. We are getting a big group together to get private fields and are looking for new players or just more people to play with that day to pool with for discounted paint. See the PA or NJ Team Tryouts threads or PM me for details.

Skirmish has really stepped it up over the last few years (been going there for about 7 years now). They're always expanding or upgrading fields and have added more amenities. The referees are really getting into it too and have been calling games much more closely, even in large scenario games. It is expensive but the experience is well worth it.

Love skirmish, but it's not suitable for everyone. I myself normally run dual tipx's, with an HPA tank, so the walking is fine for me, I get free air refills, and I barely use paint at all. Most I need in a day is a bag of paint, (I go for one shot-one kills typically, and also I sneak up on people by running to behind enemy lines for easy shots sometimes). If you are spraying down field most of the game, you may want to look for a different field because of the price of paint. (1 box of 2k balls is 100 bucks, that's like throwing out a nickel every time you take a shot, damn!)

This place most of the time has a few hundred people when it's the weekend. I went once when it was snowing hard and there were over 300 people there.

Edit: There are also huge events which have thousands of people, very fun.
