need some help....

well i could post this on any gun form but this is a legend so i think this is where it should go.

i have a xsv asa on my legend and the hole that screw goes into is stripped and is opened a little bit. it wouldnt be that big of a deal but now my tank wiggles and im looking to sell it but i have to fix the problem first. any way you guys know i can fix it??

retap the hole and use a different size screw ... thats really the only way to do it correctly

The only way to do it correctly would be to put in a thread insert that makes the threads stronger, while using the same 10/32 screw size.

you cant fix stripped treads without retapping it to a larger size

unless your screw threads are stripped but i highly doubt that because usually screws are rated higher than the frames

Easier and cheaper to just drill it out to the next size which i think is is a 12/24 if you only have a standard tap set. But adding a stainless steel insert(Helicoil) for 10/32 threads is the best way to repair a stripped hole in aluminum.
