you don't have to explain about load bearing walls to me i know all about them but you telling me that they couldn't move around the pro shop to the other side and take 2 non load barring walls such as the 2 party rooms and move them they could get that done very cheap or do it themselves and just remove there pro shop and just add all the product to the paint area

Last time I checked a reg XPSL field is 20,000 sq/ft, that's larger than the entire Boneyard Building, so unless they buy out their neighbor that won't happen. I do agree the main problem is the field size, you just cannot run enough players through there playing 3vs3 to make enough cash.

I'll be down there this wednesday after next.

Now, I've tried to read this entire thread but I've forgotten most of what was said. However I did pickup on the general theme of the thread.

I've never been to any of your fields in Vegas, Paintball wasn't in my life when I lived there in 98.

I can speak for the local field that I work for, we don't really make much money off of the repeat players. The money made from those guys usually is just enough to pay the staff. However when we bring in a private group that's where the money really adds up. Because the rental gear has been paid for in full for a number of years. So that group of say 10 that comes in uses 10 sets of rentals at $25 - $35 each plus lets say 2 bags of paint (Stinger) for $20 now we've made $45 per player for a total of $450.

Complaining about their paint policy's isn't gonna change anything, colored paint stains EVERYTHING. The turf, the walls, the netting, the bunkers, the blowers.....everything. At least with White or Yellow fill it cleans up pretty well, but all of it looks like sludge under the turf.

I do remember when I first played and a case was $65 for the "cheap stuff" and entry and air cost me $35. And that was with my own stuff.

I think the biggest problem isnt' paintball, its society....so many 20 somethings and younger want everything handed to them on a silver platter. My 20 yr old son is no different, Personally I work about 10 hrs a week in overtime and collect scrap copper to pay for my paintball, and that includes participation on an XPSL team for the entire season. (except Vegas, schedule conflict) and 2 affiliates. So if you are splitting hairs one $5 then you need to grow up. Its not that big of a deal. Eat one less meal in the drive thru, and pack a lunch from home. Cut out that Starbucks once a week, there's your $5.

And paintball in Cali doesn't get cheaper unless you come as a team to play or you are in tight with the owners. Even then, they might not charge you for air. But it still costs me $50 to play and that's with paint at 30% off. So be glad that you have 3 fields at least to choose from.

We have 1, and the others are at least 1 hour or more away.

Small indoor fields?? Play it like 3 man, and close em out quick. Look at it this way, EVERYONE GETS SHOT !!! It makes it so that you get used to it.

Just my .02 from Cali.......

FAIL.

USPS screwed up my shipping on my marker, and I'm going down to Phoenix for about a week on Tuesday so I won't be there for a while. How big are the field(s) dimension wise?

bonehead

I like bonehead. I really like both Premiere and Bonehead. I REALLY like Bonehead's turf. But im like a 30 min. ride from bonehead versus 2 min. to premier. i try and go as much as possible with school and stuff, but for now with my job and school, premier is pretty much the only field i can go to right now. I still love you bonehead!
