Teams near JMU or UR???

I am likely transferring down to either James Madison University or University of Richmond for the Fall 2008 semester.

I play D3 x-ball up here (PA)... and I kinda know that there is really no way I can let go of my addiction. I am aware that both JMU and UR have teams (I have already spoken with URs team), but I would still like to play outside of a college team i think.

As for what league, I don't really care. I'll play PSP (of course) NPPL, or even local stuff... I just want to stay sharp so that I may have a chance to continue playing with my current team and possibly going to events with them (if everything falls into place that way).

So if there are any teams that are willing to have a player come practice with them near JMU or UR, please let me know! I would really like to know if I can get some practice when I transfer, because in my experience, the college teams don't hold a candle to the fullbreeds...

Thanks much

Well, Rogue(D2X) plays at Skyline Paintball, about an 45-minutes to an hour from JMU. The JMU team also practices at Skyline Paintball, you should talk to the JMU guys if your interested in playing any college tournies.

If you end up at JMU we (Skyline) are probably the closest field to you. It is about 45 minutes from Hburg right up 81. JMU does have a team and they are going to Nationals this year but if you are interested in other teams there are always lots of teams around at Skyline you can hook up with. Depends on what level you want to get into it.

Right now I'm playing D3 X-ball. I don't know if I'm necessarily looking to join up with a team to go play national tournaments with, I'm really just looking for a team that would be cool with me jumping in on their practice (and trust me, I know how that sounds lol). I would not mind at all practicing with a D2 if they would allow it. I would rather play against players above me rather than below me.

Honestly, I'd recommend JMU for their academics as well as the fact that they have a pretty solid paintball player base. I get some of my best college hires out of JMU.
