My point exactly. Though people tried to say there were only 2 spimmys that the team owned.

Seems to me the test for this gun is. What will it resell for in a year? If you can find one.

ya your right there is only TWO MARKERS THAT ARE 1500. thats a PE marker and and SP marker. You would have to be crazy to spend 1500 on an SP marker.

I'm pretty skeptical. We haven't seen any figures on it, and come on- a speaker? How gimmicky can you get?

One could argue that a sl8r is just a really light timmy.
What the hell is up with the eye covers? That is going to be this guns largest downfall, those things are more than likely gonna fall off often.
And would they include a damn freak kit? How much money do you have to throw at SP to get them to give you a kit with the gun. Eclipse throws in with a a gun that has been only improved upon without any flaws(except the overboreing of the chamber) a full kit with an extra tip.

thats funny! cause impulses had a ton of different styles and were one of the fastest shooting markers of their time and still rip better than some markers... hmm sounds like it sucks

We don't need to give it a chance - it's a very expensive unknown. DLX is going to have to find a way to get those who would even consider this as an option to choose a Luxe over the current offerings with known reliability/performance.
They are asking players to TRUST them. This is hard to do when you are basically a spin-off company from Smart Parts. Put the marker in the hands of more pros. Do something so that we have more than marketing to go by for making that decision.

Does it really matter what kind of marketing/"high visibility" is done? This doesn't prove that the marker is reliable or has a justifiable high price, it just proves there is hype surrounding it. I agree that PE has proven themselves as having a reliable marker, however wouldn't you say the 08 Ego is just as reliable as a SL8R? Does the look/weight between the 2 justify the price hike? Again you and others need to give the Luxe a chance to show it's reliability and customer support. Don't buy it, see what the community says about it, try one at an event or local store before saying it will be a bust, that was really all I was getting at by "give it a chance."

He's not trying to go for the aspect of that. His point is "no one knows what the luxe is capable of, and essentially they are scaring away customers, because when you drop 1,600 on a gun, you usually know what the hell you are buying"
Asking 1600 for a gun, no one knows *anything* about, is like asking us to "invest in a new car company, who no one has ever heard of."
Not many people are stupid enough to take a risky investment.
planet can kick out $1,500+ markers, because we know there is reliability, quality, and they are well established
Same with dye's DM8
same with macdevs Droid
same with bob longs Marq series.
They are all well known, and well respected in the community.
Whereas DLX comes in the middle of the night *poof*, out of thin ****ing air, and Instantly requests we give it the same treatment as the already established companys.
Get real.

except we know it's atleast actually affiliated with SP who is a proven company despite there attempted conquests in court. and in all likely hood they are run by SP. i mean come on Daryl Trent is their front man. when i say his name, what company do you affiliate him with besise, now, DLX? despite what ignorant (generally) people say, Sp is quality company who puts out quality products for that particular products price range. except for their On/Off.
