I've just decided to build a new cocker recently and so far this is what I all bought. Just had a question as to anything I'm missing for my build. I know I don't have a bolt, ball detents, and front block and asa because I really don't know which one to get for my build. Going to have the merlin sent out for milling and mini cocker conversion just need to figure out where would be good to send it.
What I have so far:
JMJ Featherlite Merlin Body
WGP 2K Mini 15 Deg Front Block
2x Bolts/sleds/pins (one with o-rings & one without)
Mini Pump Arm
Palmer Quicker Ram w/ QEV
Lever lock feed neck no rise
WGP Valve Retaining Screw
Kila Magnetic Detent
P.E. front block solenoid
Tadao Yakuza USB board modified w/ micro switch
CCM Merlin Adapter
CCM 2k Pump Kit w/ EZ Grip
Needs to be done still:
I'm sending my merlin out for it's final milling this month but I'm really having trouble figuring out what Frame to use. If I get a FBM Fierce frame its just more like the Merlin of Doom. I would like a 90 degree angel frame but I'm afraid the yakuza board wouldn't fit even milled but I don't have one to confirm. Now my other option would be a Z Frame and I like the idea of that but again have no way to know if that will fit as I have yet to see one in person without just buying one blindly. What do you guys think?
Just purchased a Valhalla frame and just have a couple of custom pieces left to be made.
12/14/2009 Valhalla frame arrived today and so did my body back from Elia Paintball. Decided to do a mock up of all the parts so Ruler Mark would have something to look at.
Here we go.
Found out that I need to cut the front of the frame off and then make a new mounting hole. I guess I want some more milling for the body and the top of the frame so they match the body, we'll see what we can accomplish.
*Got the Merlin back from the mail today and decided to throw it somewhat together to show everyone what it looks like now.
Still needs the wire passage on the body a little deeper, custom pump arm and to shave part of the inside of the frame to allow the tadao yakuza board to fit in there.
Here are the latest pictures with the frame altered to fit a E2 board, wire channel has been made wider and frame can now mount to the body as well as break beam eyes and aluminum eye covers.
Whats left is needing a custom pump arm made, cutting some screws, trimming the eye covers on the bottom, dremeling the grip to be able to fit the capacitor and adding a microswitch to the board so the trigger can activate the board.
