Not a bad idea, but like everyone is saying its kind of annoying. Why not just add it in the fields/stores tab that is already there?

No, there could be an option in your control panel to turn it on or off. Which is what you guys should have done with our sidebar as well. |

Just did a search for within "50 miles" - It gave me a field that is 74.3 miles away.
+/- 25 miles, eh.
This is constructive criticism, not me bashing the idea.

As I said, it's approximate! There are 85,000 zipcodes of varying sizes in the United States. If the curvature of the earth, and the center of those zipcodes happens to combine in a way that results in some outliers on the map, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. |

but seriously, good job on doing this, however, I think it would be a lot nicer if it was something that was accessed like the reviews tab...its not like I spend ALL my time on here trying to find a field or a store, so I dont think the placement next to something REALLY important (like my PM Inbox) makes sense.

the sidebar is paid advertizing, unless you have ASM, you shouldnt be able to turn it off...ever thought of that?  |

Fortunately, federal statistics show that such minor changes to web sites rarely cause fatalities--1 user in 10,000 to be exact. Even then, deaths are typically limited to users who exhibit some other malady, such as OCD or sexual repression.
If I were you guys, I'd be more worried about PbNation's plans to hire a second professional assassin. Sleep well. We'll see most of you in the morning...
