Exclamation Problem with Tippmann 98 Custom ACT model.

Well I am not sure what is the reason for this happening but here it goes, Every now and then when I am shooting My 98 custom ACT model two paintballs will come out the barrel at the same time, is this bad, is there a way to fix this?

Double feed. You probably need a new detent and/or your loader is set on a higher speed than is really necessary.

Make sure it doesn't appear worn or damaged and not in backwards.

because if it was or even missing, theres no control as to how many balls fall through every time you wish to shoot.

look down the where the barrel would be, without the air attached of course, see the orange thingy? you might need to replace that.

to check the detent, flip the hopper elbow down and look in the breech, there should be a orange "finger" pointing down the barrel. if its pointing towards the valve its in backwards and you probly mangled it.

Well I just checked the detent and it seems to be to flexible I would say, Also when storing the marker should it be in the cocked or uncocked position?

is the detent facing the right way tho????
when looking into the gun (uncocked and ungassed) the piece that flips up should be closer to you.

there really shouldn't be anything wrong with the amount of balls falling into the chamber if the detent was in working order. so it has to be a problem with the detent. call tippmann like whitey had suggested and get a new one. Yours may have some problem of possibly being worn or doesn't poke up enough to keep the ball from going down the barrel.

so yea just call and get a new one, install it, then post what happens.
