Any country with socialized health care has either failed or has insanely high taxes. Sure, everyone in Britain has free healthcare, but they also pay 1 million euros for a tiny *** apartment and don't have cars (gross overestimate, but you get the point).

They look like they would be best buddies with Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold.
Rock on.

yes, I was implying something along the lines of that. but more the fact that the government has a hard time providing such nice healthcare due to high costs of medical equipment, government paid people (such as personal nannies for almost every pregnant woman in france, seen in michael moore's "SiCKO"). The people of france demand these things, whereas the government can no longer afford to provide such luxuries without raising taxes again, so in-turn riots are started. Thats one of the reasons for protests, which may have led to rioting. but either way there was some kind of resistance.
Providing that for US citizens WOULD be nice, but its virtually impossible with country going into recession. The only plausible action is government regulation of the healthcare industry, because of the seemingly high profitability. I am aware socialism won't work; obviously, for we aren't socialists
Just elaborating on my above posts. take it, leave it, correct me if im wrong. whatever.
this thread has gone off into politics....

all i have to say is free markets.
if healcare companies compete, the service provided will be better than whatever the gov't will give you. cause we all know the gov't is gonna give us the bare minimum

We may not be socialists now, but this country is slowly heading in that direction, and has been for some time.
FDR's New Deal- Very strongly based off of Stalin's 5 year plans.
SOCIAL Security- self explanatory.
SOCIALIZED health care- self explanatory.
Not to mention the country that absolutely has us by the balls economically is a communist nation. If China wanted to start dumping our TBs on the open market, our economy would be destroyed OVERNIGHT.

damn, never thought of it that way.
the new deal was essential to getting to economy out of depression, where he just started issuing legislation, and making programs whether people liked it or not, kinda like Marshall law of like the whole ****ing country in a sense. initially congress just went along with it, but denied a few of his programs. I should look it up again. but it was necessary nonetheless, and it eventually worked; even though it may have been communistic.

look up the big coporate heads of the time. right before the market collapse they each pulled out enormous amounts of money. inevitably causing it to crash.

Meh, that was part of it, but it wasn't the main cause of the market collapse. It sure as **** didn't help though.

Yes, but we still have instituted new deal policies that were supposed to end after the depression. Income tax, for one. The new deal was the turning point in American life that lead to the entitlement society we live in today.

I fixed your post for you.
I don't see how anyone who is educated in economics can vote democrat. Their ideas to stimulate the economy are so ridiculous and far-fetched I'm convinced that they are nothing more than ploys to pray off the stupidity of this nation.

Increasingly socialistic is equal to entitlement society.
