use fusion Extremely good gun for the price. Might be a little out of your range though.
used etek(maybe) Im not a big fan of these... they tend to be more expensive. But many people have had good experiences with them.
used mini Very small, lightweight, easy to maintain. Very nice gun for the price.
uped ion/epiphany Lowest end of all the others listed in this list. Still nice guns, but I would spend your money on something more like a Fusion, Rail (PMR), or Invert Mini.
I hope this helps!

Good Luck!

if its your first gun Id advise you not to get a mini since they are rather high maintenance. As long as you know how to read a manual and lube a bolt PMR's are great.

fusion or pmr. pmr's are way better than slg's and from what i've heard fusions are pretty good.

DO NOT GET AN ION. you will catch alot of crap from a whole lot of people for having one.

My friend tell me how minis are HIGH maintenance? IF anything they are LOW maintenance! trust me.

The flaw that they had was a series of board and poppet errors. Most people never have these problems. I've known a kid who had an ion dead on arrival / out of box 2 times , and I've know people who have a mini , air it up ,and are fine.

I'd strongly recommend a mini. Maybe thats because I love them , or the fact that they are a great gun for you're 325.

You unscrew one screw , clean and re lube , put the bolt assembly back in , and return the screw. Basic Lubing and care done right there.

Regards,

Joe

Anything with a centerfeed and a good rail/asa. You can play (and do well) in speedball with a pump. Learning how to read a field, and how to move and stay alive are more important than shooting fast.

Save your money and buy a good loader, a good air system, and lots of field fees, air, and paint. That will make you a good player, and you'll eventually run into a good deal for very little when your game is ready for better gear.

Not sure if this is legit but it would be an awesome deal (you'll spend a bit more) for a great gun.

Im just going to throw in my two cents.
IDK what anyone says, or tells you.
IONs are famed to be POS, however I have yet to find a cause. Most don't like them because Smart Parts is a "super power" and probably bought out there gun company..IE Poor AKA

Anyway, ION's are a GREAT gun for beginners, they are easy to use, mantain. Ive had a few and never had problems, I still have one. Rip the grip open, follow a series of flashing lights, and its modified.
I dont suggest saving your money, and buying a really nice gun, if your new to the sport. Start small, build up. Almost all paintballers started off with that ol 98.

Looks good to me. The Halo is overkill for a stock Ion but if you decide to upgrade the board later you'll be in good shape. It also comes with an upgraded feed neck and trigger that are most commonly replaced. I'd go for it.

that would be me

yeah see i normally roll with my dads woodsball group for about 6 years.then about 3 months ago my friend introduced me to speedball.i love it so with that in mind all my stuff it woodsball..i have camo not jerseys.and so on and so fourth.

thats y i want that link i already have the tank and that would complete it.

so i could get the pants and pod packs and stuff like that. and then in 6months to a year i could upgrade to a pm8 or a mini..

does this sound like a good plan?

QFT!

There are so many really good options for your money nowadays.
making the marker transition from rec to speed ball has never been this easy $$ wise. The only thing that most 08's have over their 05 counter-parts is weight and size, and unless you are playing Xball against LB Fow or JP Richardson, or in a heads-up snapshooting match against Ollie Lang you may not care about the 3/32 reduction in height between the two. just look around and shoot some freind's markers or markers at your field and make up your own mind.

DO not read my post or any other and buy a marker because of it, shoot 'em all and have an open mind when you do.

Good luck

go with a promaster or a pm5. the others just are not as good. the slg and the pmr are the same as an ION. which is crap. start the flame war all you want. the pm5 is 200 or less you can get them fully upped for like 2 bills maybe a tad over. they will out shoot any of the previous guns listed, super smooth and easy to maintain. cheap FAST and are durable!

stay away from the rail and slg they are plastic, the ion is just a piece and they are plastic too. dont waste your money on a plastic gun you have to spend another 200 in ups to make it decent. spend your money getting a good gun with ups that you wont need to spend any more money on! PM5!!!
