Looks like it shoots nice. Im thinking about getting one, but I already have a threshold. How do you think it compares against a thresy (if you have shot one)? What about an F8? Thanks

i've owned both. i liked the threshold a LOT. this is very similar, but i think i'll like it a bit better. i like it significantly better than the F8...

Hows it feel with the halo on top? I got an empire b on my threshy and it just felt so much lighter (the threshy) than playing with my pm5, my snap was just all around better with a lighter gun and it shot so nice I played back a few games just to lane with it ha. But would you say the g3 is a noticeable step up in performance? I'm thinking about putting a torque on it to make it even lighter.

the gun feels pretty small compared to the halo. i need to trim the neck on the hopper down a little. i don't think the G3 would necessarily be a step up from the threshold. it is lighter and cheaper, but i haven't shot it yet. i would guess it will be similar. i do like the trigger more and the overall feel of the frame.

Would you say it's worth it to sell my F8 and to buy one of these?

Looks great

I am currently deciding between the F8 and G3, but i am beginning to like the G3 more and more every time i hear new info about it. I was wondering if there was any downsides to the gun that would make it not live up to the F8?

i have a both and i think it will come down to preference.

G3: spooler, single tube, lighter, smaller, better trigger
F8: poppet, a bit more efficient, two piece barrel, extra on/off

many things i feel are comparible: both shoot just as fast, similar/same price, limited upgrades, similar board, similar included parts.

i like single tube guns better and the trigger/trigger frame feels a lot nicer to me.

If you don't mind my asking why did you sell your threshold or get rid of it but keep the f8? I was just assuming the threshold was a better gun the f8 but wondering why you didn't keep it.

first i had a fusion.
sold it and bought a threshold.
sold it to buy a G3
...but the G3 took too long coming out
so i bought the F8 in the meantime
then i finally bought a G3

so i have a G3 and an F8, but i wouldn't mind trading the F8 for another
threshold, i just like the single tube style more.

well, I own a Threshy and I played this past weekend with an IQ and the IQ felt sooo much more confortable for some reason... I didn't think of holding them both side by side (silly me) but I had ZERO breaks of any sort after shooting like two cases, consistency was awesome for a brand new gun, and the kick is much less noticeable than the Threshy (or so it seemed)... the frame is thinner so that prolly had something to do with the better feel, coupled with the difference in weight... efficient too! Can't wait to get mine and it'll be the main gat... the only thing my Ego7's got on it is the board with LCD and all the adjustments... other than that, I like everything else better on the IQ/G3.

assuming you had some breaks in your threshy then? Wouldn't it be better on breakage then the g3 since it has a lower operating pressure?
