As far as ease, the dm7 eye pipe would be easiest.. that is IF the detent holes line up externally

Yeah I'm thinking DM7 pipe would be the way to go to dodge the NT detent stuff...
Thanks for the tips on who to ask.. Didn't think about asking cs900 his thoughts and didn't know about the other two.
I guess I could use a small OD endmill (but rather long, which would lead to deflection), like a 1/8" or something, but with the NT pipe those detent slots on the side also locate that pipe in place. So there needs to be the distinct cut for it, not just run an endmill down and have rounded edges that might lead to some slight rotation of the eye pipe.
