DP G3 Spec R or Ego 05?

Which one would sell for more and which one would be a better gun on and off the field?

that all depends on the seller and owner... you could sell the SR for 250-300$ and so as the 05Ego (depending on upgrades). better gun on and off the field will be on you. only the owner of any marker can make their marker dependable.

Seriously this whole Spec-R gets bad efficiency crap again??

I get 8 pods on mine stock on a 49/45 ninja bottle guys..
said bald guy always ends up with lower efficiency numbers than anyone else ever does i noticed..

Oh i just thought everytime he gets 8 or 9 pods. But besides the point, the ego has the lcd board, decent reg, decent asa, both of the barrels are kinda ehh, the ego isnt terribly heavy, matenece is easier. What exactly are you looking for in a gun?

Both markers are fine for just about any application. It's mostly dependant on your personal preferences. The Spec-r is not as inneffecient as many claim but not near the effeciency of the Ego however it more than makes up for it in simplicity of design, maintenance, size and weight. With many players out there, having the ability to make finite adjustments to just about every function on the boards leads to bad results and therefore a bad impression left on such threads as this one. The Spec-r has a design well suited for a front player; small, tight and light. The Ego's effeciency lends itself well suited for the back player. I would base your decision not so much on the trash talk you see on threads like this but more so on what you really want in a marker. If your not going to shoot more than 6 pods without refilling, than I'd stick with the Spec-r, you won't be dissapointed.

For the record, I use a Spec-r with a ANS 48/4500 peanut tank and get 7 pods and that's about it with a dwell of 10 at 200 psi. Hope this helps.

Brian

Lets break this down....
board-eh i dont know about board comparison

reg-how is the reg decent? my spec r reg is +/- 3 very consistent
asa-it's one of the easiest asa's to do. just flip the lever, why take time to turn the damn knob? like really. the raps even bleeds air.
barrel-i would assume the earlier shafts are heavy im not quite sure though. but this spec r barrel is lighter than the 1 piece cp barrel i just recieved
weight-you just admitted to the ego being heavier
maintenance-i dont even have to state an opinion.

why would you get a 6 year old gun? i just dont get the point.

and for efficiency i can get 8 pods.

05s are the complete opposite of smooth... i have one, and ive owned a g3, and i like my g3 way better... the 05 is a littl emore efficient, but no where near as smooth, light or as comfortable as my g3
