allows for a more simplistic userbase. Honestly theres alot of guns i didnt buy just bc they were LED. I was never a fan of trying to memorize a manual to remember what color meant what, counting the blinks of a said color, pressing a button or trigger and then setting and recounting blinks. Complete PITA to me, so i tried to stay with LCD markers, even though they eat through batteries. this design is just awesome, Im sure there is a button that u hit to go into settings mode. And it'll tell you current dwell setting, Mode your in etc. So you know where your at and where to adjust instead of counting blinks and looking for colors.

What about if your in an indoor field and its always loud as hell. Whadda ya do then? I thought it'd be a neat thing to have but the more I think about it is it really prctical? My home field is small and indoor, so noise would be an issue for me personally.

the whole speaker idea is a very interesting but deffiantly not practical as said above. It would be annoying to wait to listen through the options a normal menu with a led would be faster than listening to options.

the speaker looks like the first thing to go when paint builds up on it or the gun gets a little moist.

Also does it seem like a speaker would just add more weight than a LCD screen or light..

Speakers use WAY more power than a diaode

Most of the pits i have been in are LOUD anyway.. this speaker better be able to crank the voulume to overcome my neighbor dryfiring or the field of Ego's who just broke out

I understand the desire to be different but at what cost? version 2 wont have a speaker... i bet $$ on it

It's not the only way of tracking the status of the gun. If you can't hear the speaker's tones, you'll still know what's going on with it.

It'd be a similar thingthe same thing if you were on a team all using them. You'd conceivably have trouble telling which was yours (unless they all said the same thing...lol).

Somebody asked about it earlier in this thread...the speaker has to be as large as it is in order to broadcast the necessary tones. The small speakers found on paintball marker boards until now are very simplistic and wouldn't be physically able to "talk" a word. They can only do beeps and tones and such.
