My point was that with popular music (such as this bull**** like The Devil Wears Prada, My Chemical Romance, etc...) there is nothing original being produced, at all. Read this, then watch the whole video I posted and listen.
There is pretty much no original music anymore. Even your Metal stuff is old and unoriginal.
I could also say the same that it sounds like he same old **** that every douchebag freshman is listening to.
That stereotype is clearly wrong, because I am not a freshman, and I don't think you are either.
Metal is one of the few genres that constantly pushes the limits of the human voice as well as the instruments themselves. Influences and genres are combined from all over the world adding a unique touch to bands. hell even sub genres of sub genres having their own sub genres.

Ok, so he uses four chords to sing some songs.
There is a large difference between the Devil Wears Prada and My Chemical Romance. Neither of which I really like BTW.
Sadly though, I can not find a large difference between these two bands:
you know why you can't see a difference? because you, like most people who bull**** about metal without knowing a thing, can't look past the vocals and listen to the MUSIC.
the vocals on the other hand, sound almost exactly the same. I had 2 windows open and was switching back and forth.
EDIT: Also, I don't ***** about metal music. I just don't see you "metal fans" can ***** about something like The Devil Wears Prada sounding similar to My Chemical Romance(it doesn't), and then listen to Amon Amarth.

One of these things is not like the other.
Wrong and wrong! Did you hear any breakdowns during the Amon Amarth song? No. Did you hear any chuga chug riffs during the Amon Amarth song? No. In that The Devil Wears Prada song, he used higher pitched screams (which is used in hardcore) and metalcore screams (self explanatory) throughout the majority of the song. Sure, he growled a little. When did he do this? During the breakdown!
I used those 2 bands as those are the first that came to my head. I wasn't saying that those 2 sounded the same, as they are not in the same exact genre. I used them to represent the popular music that everyone listens to today.

You don't see why because you aren't a metal fan. When you get involved with something you like, you understand the ins and outs.
I don't ***** about tennis players changing to a racket with a 1/2 pound more tension on the strings during a match on TV, because I don't play tennis. I cannot determine if it makes a difference or not, so I don't talk about. Just like you don't understand the fine differences between the three bands you listed, so you shouldn't tell others they are wrong when you are clearly out of your league.
Feel free to like all three bands, that your choice. Thats what music is about. However, the more you learn, play, and seriously get into music, all of these tiny difference make one huge difference.
cute is what we aim for is the name of a band?
all time low?
HA
my little brother is into a band called drop dead gorgeous dont tell me you like that obnoxious trash too?
if you are going to claim that you can teach people something about music please step out of the highschool pop music.
yes, for the record, cute is what we aim for is a name of a band.
and you make me laugh when you say highschool pop music. being half of these bands haven't even been heard of.
you should probably have some knowledge of a band before you say stuff like this.

Jazz is like metal in the sense that it needs sub-genres so that people don't get confused.
