that is not the official answer its the only accurate one we can give no one has put that many shots through it at one time to know, and we have heard better than an NXT shocker. So why should we give a number we are unsure of when we can just wait for official word

Can you describe it more? From the pics, it doesn't look like it seals at all... just a little door that opens and closes.

Thanks.
The "Pop Top" only holds the internals in place, there are orings that seal the internals from external conditions.

I was under the impression from the press release that the pop top also de-gassed the marker, but is this not the case? You have to turn off the air and clear the gun before being able to disassemble?

Thanks

I was under that impression to, but I can't really see that being the case (I don't understand how that would work).

you do not have to degas the marker to disassemble the bolt.

I am one of the AAPP home teams, however I assure you that my reviews are unbiased and fair. I have been providing a lot of "first" reviews on products through these forums since they opened (notice the 2001 over under my name) I owned the IOG for a while, and usually have a "First Look" at the new equipment simply because I am usually the first one to over pay for it.

I don't believe that Smart Parts, or DLX in this case would want anything other then the truth out of me. If I find a flaw (much like the rubberband oRing) I post it. It is not like by me not saying it, the world isn't going to realize it on their own..

What about battery life? Am I changing the battery after every case or can I make it a few cases before I change batteries?

Also, what's gonna happen when the internals get wet? Is the speaker gonna die out? If so, is it easily replaced (and affordable to replace) and if you don't want to replace it, can you just use the lights?

oh ok, it's better than a Shocker efficiency-wise... how's that saying anything at all??? Just about ANY marker has better efficiency than a Shocker... and believe me, if that was one of the strong points on the gun, they'd be screaming at the top of their lungs about it... since it hasn't been mentioned up to this point, I'd think it'll be another gas hog. You mean the people developing the gun did not put enough shots thru it to get a ball park figure??? C'mon, nobody's THAT stupid... oh no wait, we're talking about SP here, so then maybe yeah...

First of all, I don't think any NEW gun would EVER be able to get away with having to change the battery every few cases.
Second of all, there is no changing batteries...it has a cellphone style battery that you just recharge.

audrey stated in the welcome thread 4500 shots on a full charge and that it will come with one spare battery
that's not even a full day play per battery for some people

I have shot it and I must say that his review is spot on. The one we got to shoot last weekend was a gold/greenish color. The gun is longer in length then your DM's and Angels. But it felt nice, I shoot an A1 and the gun felt good in my hands. With the gas going through the grip, i wished that the reg grip flared out at the bottom instead of the slight taper, it felt like my left hand was going to slide off it (but never did). I can say that the gun has no kick, very smooth indeed. The magnetic eye covers is a nice touch, two small rare earth magnets on the rear portion keep them on with a tab on the forward side that slides slightly into the body. When we shot the marker one of the covers slightly moved in and out, but it never flew off. The english accent lady who talks to you, sounds like the same lady in my TOM TOM GPS for my car. I was not there, however the gun was attached to a 48/45 filled up and a hopper and I think 5 pods were shot through it, and the air was right around 2k left, which I was very surprised for that efficiency on a gun whose serial number was "TEST". The bolt assembly unscrews and becomes 3 pieces (one being the bolt itself). Which seemed very simple to clean and lube. I too thought at first that the Oring used to keep the cap closed was ghetto, until thinking about it more and what is something pb players keep tons of around.
I have never enjoyed a shocker trigger and grip frame, however this gun felt completely different on its trigger pull and gripframe, I must give props when due, and it was a fun gun to hold and shoot.
And if Angel will ever get the A1 Fly with the Magno internals, it would be nice to compare the two side by side.
Hope this added bit helps those hunting for more info on it.
