Cool "VS2 Halfback Project" Revealed

This is for all the guys that have been waiting impatiently with me for this project to finally be complete. It's almost there; a black CP trigger (will be modded with magnetic return) and black macroline fittings are on the way. Due to the problem of being PBCustomz-pwnd, I had to change the color theme a bit. For those that haven't been here since the start of this project, you can check out the original thread to see how it progressed from start to finish. Here's the abridged version.....

I started off with a stock VS2 that my brother (Boo2) bought for me. I saw a few halfback pictures and thought that I would give it a try. We had a dremel laying around so I just started grinding away at it. I wasn't too happy with the original milling because it was too blocky for my taste so I changed the lines a little bit. With help from OneUp, I was able to come up with a unique design that was pretty challenging.

Post-OneUp Design

Trigger Frame Milling

And without further adieu, here she is....dubbed the "Arachnid Assasin" (by battlechaser).

The trigger frame looks beautiful. And the black anno on the body seems to have come out pretty good, too. Great work!

DAMN YOU! Just as I made my thread about my fourth project!

That black reminds me of velvet or something.

Thanks. I wasn't diggin the frame at first but then I started buffing and polishing it, and then I started to like it. I spent about an hour polishing it to a mirror finish....and now I love it!!! I'll post better pics once the new trigger and fittings come in.

polish the eye covers! the frame does look sweet all polished up, so a lucky mistake there. But polish those eye covers and it will POP!

edit: vvv agreed vvv the LPC chromed would look really nice as well.

I was going to say that... I'd also look into finding the LPC from a Check-It Assault block (look at my gun in the SotM to see what I'm talking about) maybe even the Bob Long GaugeI have too..

Very pimp.

Good point Omega & Battle....I think I'll have to ask "I need a name" how he went about polishing his eye covers. I agree that it would complete the look of it. As for the LPC, I really hate how the stock one looks, but I'm also not a fan of the aftermarket ones that I've seen....maybe I haven't been looking hard enough though. I'll keep that in mind. If I can find one with the shape that I like, I'll definitely pick it up. So if anyone finds an LPC that they think will look nice, feel free to post a link

The Shocktech one is nice, I need a name has it on his gun. I want to get that, once I decide if I'm going to continue with the Electra, or get a different body... VS1 anyone?

I'm assuming that THIS is the one that you're talking about. I like it. I hope that this silver one is polished up because my only other option would be gloss black, which I definitely think would look odd (since everything else is dust black).

haha don't worry, i'm not going to be entering for a while myself. I need to wait to settle a few things before I go ahead with my project. Though on a side note (and not trying to take anything away from doc's project) I will be drilling for eyes, as well as upgrading my board and possibly lowering the pressure (not completely LP, possibly to 500psi input?). Not sure if I'll start a thread or keep everyone remotely in the dark.. but I'll leave little hints here and there..
