Question Who's using a different BOLT?

I'm looking for lower dwell and less kick. Has anyone seen any actual improvements over the firebolt in these areas?

I'm assuming ION bolts can be used in the EOS...correct?

Thanks in advance.

whispershadow,

The idea is to reduce the Kinetic Energy (energy of motion). The lower the KE the bolt has the easier it is to start and stop it. This translates into less air needed to move the bolt (turn your dwell down) and less kick (It's easier to stop and start a pingpong ball than a golf ball).

Considering KE=1/2*mass*velocity^2, and you want to maintain a constant velocity (~300/fps), the only variable to change that will reduce KE is the mass of the bolt. This is what the aftermarket bolts do that the stock ones do not.

Lubed everything properly? connected all the hoses correctly? Sounds like the noid isn't getting air to the front of your bolt or the bolt is sticking... Did you try taking a few clearing shots?

Swapped the stock can and bolt and shoots fine.. emailed their support, all they said was try different seals. Relubed the heck out of it, replaced the brand new seals with more brand new seals.. you can't fire it, it blows air straight out.. this is not a slow leak, this is as if there was no bolt and just blowing air. The bolt moves forward when aired up, not back. I have wasted at least one tank jacking with it.. switched back to stock and put this bolt away for now.. no issues running stock bolt.. and yes I tried the pressure at different levels 200, 220, 240, 260.. and I am putting the bolt plug in and have a good seal on it. I am sure it is something dumb, but after 5 or 6 tries, it's not obvious what it might be. This bolt has no seals on the shaft (other than barrel end) and the front of the can (inside, not the one on the outside) has a groove where it appears a seal might go, but there is not a seal
