Wait, I must have read that incorrectly. Did you just claim to be open-minded?
Hahaha.
Lolz, thanks.

To me that just doesn't seem like what the majority of Americans want. (and it arguably instigates a return to socialist ideology ... but thats for another thread I suppose ...)
The main reason I can think of for liberal candidates to succeed in the political arena is the fact that liberal candidates associated with the DNC often cling to special interests such as: global warming (caused by humans); environmentalism; feminism (maybe not so much anymore, but I believe it is still present through abortion and other issues); affirmative action; multiculturalism; and a whole host of other issues.
Is it the special interest issues which bring you to vote for a democrat or am I wrong in assuming that the majority of Americans want a 'big government' economic policy. Please try to keep this under control, as I would like to hear from someone with their reason for supporting a democratic politician so I could better understand their point of view.
Thanks.

There is such a thing called "fiscally conservative liberal".
Part lines are a joke. Most paries these days have various sub-parties. In essence 'making that party not a party at all, rather that of completely new groups spawned off co-operative thinking!
Thinking realistically, there are no longer strong political groups, but rather that of 'strong ideological movements'!

I was busting a gut.
I don't really understand how anyone could watch that and agree with his statements.

I don't care about the small businesses. its the multi-national companies that over extend themselves and then ask for government to bail them out. mind you the government doesn't help the common people that invest in the businesses and use those investments to fund things like retirement funds or anything. as long as the CEO's are taken care of.
I also take offense to the fact that these people are in the regular practice of Buying politicians.

No, I reject broad sweeping statements, like "Everything Democrats think is wrong"
Once, someone makes a statement like that I lose any respect for their opinion. I'm not going to waste my time and listen to someone spout their completely one-sided viewpoint of the world.
Their were no facts in that speech only unsubstantiated opinions and generalizations, which don't foster debate only animosity. I'm sorry that you are sad because I didn't feel like listening to such dribble.
If you think liberals are the one who are rejecting all the facts and are stuck inside their conception of the world, you really might want to consider yourself a liberal.

they don't just tax big businesses they tax the small successfully businesses JUST as hard because guess what? it's based on how much money you make
I know a lot of small business owners that are paying upwards of 40% of their income in taxes. These are my neighbors, people that work hard, people that stayed up all night studying during college while others were doing keg stands so they could make a ton of money one day, and what do we do to these people? We tax the **** outta them and give the money to the people that had a good time when they were young...people that instead of focusing on their future just lived for the day.
Is this the right thing to do?

don't give me that ****.
Big Business has written more loop holes and tex credits that they can earn into the tax code than anyone else. its the small business owners that are really getting screwed.
like I said. I sympathize with small business owners. I take offense to the large Mutli-Nationals.

Without "multi-nationals" you probably wouldn't be sitting there on the internet. You wouldn't have your tennis shoes, which were probably made by a 10 year old girl in some eastern Asian country for $0.10 a day. You wouldn't have a car to drive. You wouldn't have 99% of your stuff. Large corporations make the world go round, and drive the economy up or down.
What would happen to our economy if Coca Cola, Microsoft, Home Depot or other large corporations went under? God forbid if Walmart suddenly went under. The world economy would take a hit so hard, it'd take years to recover. The government gives them tax breaks, for the most part, to keep business good and keep the economy up.
I sympathize with small business owners and actually prefer to go to smaller businesses because the service is better. Sure you have to pay a little bit more money, but you'll get someone other than a teenage kid who knows nothing about the products trying to sell you the most expensive thing because its the most expensive.

probably nothing except that the local exconomies instead of the big box stores would rise again.
I don't see a problem.
