I'm somewhat of a liberal and I always thought the internet was invented by the military and porn traders. I think Michael Moore is sleezy. I think abortion is wrong, but I don't have the right to tell a woman what to do. I think all terrorists should die.

What would you label me?

you're not an extreme liberal so i'm ok with you

hell i'm married to a liberal, which can make life difficult at times, but I do agree with the liberal approach on a woman’s right to choose; however, it ends there

I think most liberals view the world through rose colored glasses which annoys the heck outta me

My statement holds true. Everyone that despises big business has very little knowledge how our economy works.

If you despise big business you don't have a 401k plan for retirement and its obvious you're too young to understand the importance of a 401k.

If you despise big business you are a liberal except you don't believe you are. YOu essentially believe that they should be broken up or a higher tax rate so ALL businesses compete on the same level.

If you depsise big business you are in favour of letting foreign economies overcome ours.

If you despise big business you are in favour of creating a higher corporate tax rate, we already have the 2nd highest corporate tax rate in the world

You essentialy believe everyone should be on a level playing field.

If you despise those huge CEO payouts.

If you are any of those you are a liberal...

Yeah that video was pretty funny. However, that video only exemplifies a certain group's stupidity. I mean, let's be fair. I could find a video that makes Republicans look stupid too.

Check my thread, actually 25 states have a higher combined rate than Japan. It's even worse than you thought

Before you read my reply below, I'm talking about true liberals and true conservatives....not the Washington liberal or Washington conservative. Also, there are exceptions to these, so I don't want to hear "but not everyone is like that...."

Conservatives deal with the individual. Liberals deal in groups.
Conservatives want less government. Liberals want government to do more.
Conservatives want to decrease taxes to increase spending. Liberals want to tax the "evil rich."
Conservatives are pro-business because they recognize they drive our economy. Liberals are anti-business because they believe the government can do it better.
Conservatives support privatized welfare through charities. Liberals support government funded welfare.
Conservatives care about the environment, but care about the economy more. Liberals care about the environment, to a fault sometimes, and are willing to hurt business if it saves a species of bug that does more harm than good.
Conservatives are anti-labor union and want people to get paid for an honest days work. Liberals are pro-union and want people to be over paid for the job they do (or don't do).
Conservatives are color blind. Liberals still use race as an issue.
Conservatives aren't victims. Liberals believe everyone is a victim.

I think you could have tried a little harder to make that statement just a tad more biased.

Such a biased picture you have painted, not that it was entirely wrong, but you provided the rosy side of the issue for the conservatives and then the evil/idoitic side for the liberals.

It's what you see from people who wish to privilege their viewpoint, if there is one thing I ask from people on this forum it is to look at an issue objectively and try to go beyond their conception of the world.

Almost every issue is far to nuanced to be placed in such a dichotomous manner

Just like you watched the whole version of Reverend Wright's Sermon(s).

At least his version was kept entirely in context.
