Do i need a Reg

ok i got a piranha BL that i bought like 5 years ago, pretty much my first marker, and i have just been using it lately as a back up cause the thing never fails me. but i want to run HPA on it, cause the only reason i got co2 is for the BL, do i need a regulator, or can i just run it on it without a regulator, if i do i got a piranha evo that is just laying a around cause the the grip is all missed up on it so i could just put it on. thanks

no. the output on the co2 and the air tank will be the same, unless its a lowpressure air tank.

right, but it can be an hp or an lp. is your tank a normal pmi steel air tank? if so it is more than likely hp, you will be fine

The tank hold 3000 psi of air. The reg on the tank most likely regulates the 3000 psi down to about 800-850 psi. This will be the pressure going into your marker.

I WOULD suggest a reg as it will make tuning your velocity much much easier. Just screw the velocity adjuster on the back all the way in and adjust the reg up or down to get the desired velocity.

As for the EVO...I would suggest taking the grip frame off the G2 BL and putting it on the EVO. The EVO is newer and most likely has better parts in it such as valve, bolt and a newer hammer. Converting it to a mech wont hurt much.
