Get a full size van, not a mini. It's doable.

I played D2 at the 2006 HB. But honestly we were way over our head, we hadn't played in 6 months and were essentially 2 seperate teams, 4 from Anchorage and 4 from Fairbanks.

Man, trust me, you can even get away with a mini-van.
Plus if need be, it is easy to shuttle people from and to the stadium as tons of motels are nearby. San Diego would be fun, get a chance to go down to TJ and do some cheap and wild partying.
If you can, definitely play D3... even that division isn't a joke at NPPL.

DMD- we are completelyand totally aware that even D3 nppl is no joke. D4 psp is no joke. Most every larger tournament series outside of alaska is no joke. I personally (and most of us actually interested in doing this, I am guessing) would much prefer if you would keep the non-constructive comments to yourself. We are all VERY aware that going to a tournament with the amount of actual team practice we in all reality will not get means that we most likely NOT podium. the fact is, at least for those of in the Kodiak area, this is more vacation with paintball thrown in. just going to one of these events without even playing is a treat, but if we are there, why not play too?

No team from Alaska has ever made the podium at a national or even regional tourney. Everyone here is aware of that and has not misgivings of going and kicking ***.

Sorry guys, I didn't mean to be negative or be disrespectful.
After reading above, I have realized that I have been an *******. I guess that I have taken it for granted. I have been to so many events that they are not to me what they are to you guys (I hope that you guys don't take that as me being a snob).
For years, I was involved with teams that drilled three days a week and team practices on the weekends. We didn't consider going to an event fun unless we placed on the podium.
I see now that I still have that mind set though I have told some of you guys that I only want to play for fun. I now realize that I'm being that dick headed Jimini Cricket on your shoulder ushering negative thoughts in your ear.
So, I will keep my mouth shut, but I'm more than willing to answer any question that any of you guys may have.
Again, I apologize for my behavior and attitude.

I'd have to disagree with that. The Element guys did do well in their day. Ask Bryce to see his medal(s) from the Pan Am circuit.

That was on Bonebrake Factory was it not? Todd was playing for them too.
The best I thought element ever did was at the 2002(?) WC where they smoked the prelims going undefeated (actually beat Strange) then lost inthe semis.

Commander's Cup would be awesome. Assuming I have the moneys and we come up with a plan, I would be down.

It takes quite a while of not playing paintball at all, to get out of it.
