why not just shoot slower, and make your shots count more?

AHHH gee Mr Field Owner... Why are you going to gravity feed only?

It wouldn't hurt my feelings at all if HROF players end up playing in their backyard.

I think fields should just enforce semi only. Shaker hoppers is taking it a little too far.

its easier to enforce bps limits with grav. fed hoppers rather than semi only...

THey are doing it to get more people playing at thier field. I can't remember the statitics, but thier are more rec ball players in the world than tournament players. I think the fields are trying to draw in more of the guys that play out in the woods and bring them into thier place. A lot of people in the sport say that rec ball and scenario is the future of paintball. With all the big name companys getting bought out, sponsership is going down the drain, so people aren't able to play speedball as much without going broke themselves. I'm also sure the owners are getting tired of seeing noobs getting slaughtered or hearing from thier moms. Think about it. Whats the odds of you all that are playing now with high end markers playing for the next 10 years at the same field. I bet 1 of 20 will stick around and play every weekend. Evently, playing every weekend will stop because of jobs or starting a family. The odds are not everyone is going to be pro or even higher than D1. If you keep chasing off all the new kids from playing, whats going to happen to that owners field or even to the sport of paintball there. They are doing it to bring in more people. Its not about money to them, I'm sure they like getting the money, but thats not the main reason. I'm sure they opened thier store so everyone that wants to can enjoy the game, not to make thousands of dollars.

I think they should keep it seperate. Like one day is for newer kids with the gravity feed. the next day should be force feed hoppers. I don't think they should cut it off fields all together. I'm sure the fields know what thier doing. They wouldn't do it if they thought it would hurt thier bussiness to much.

dude i wouldn't play if my local fields did that, my local fields usually mix the high end and rentals so it makes it even, but i guess it wouldn't matter because im going to start playing pump

Sounds good to me, puts the fun back in the game so people aren't relying on 15 BPS out the barrel to do the work for them. It also helps keep less experienced Rec players around becuase their not getting obliterated as they exit their bunker to walk off the field so thus they actually want to play more. Which in turn generates more profit for the field down the line.

I play Pump with a grav. hopper locally against any group of people out there weither they be first timers or division PSP players. Never hear a complaint from anyone that something isn't fair and it keeps everyone happy.

Now you won't have to rely on the boxes of paint you have to get the other person out. Now you need to aim, run, and try. Go practice, and have fun.

I think this is a very good rule, and i hope that my field will inforce it.
For example i was at my local pb field and there was some 11 or 12 year old kids out there. There was also some people that had guns shooting at 30bps. Anyway when they wanted to play i told those kids to come and they were scared of getting shot by their guns. And when i did play these people i didnt blame em. i wasnt afraid of getting hit but when you have 4 people shooting at you with about 30 balls hitting your bunker every second what do you do. well you just pop out and for the best.....but 14 welps later idk.

Hopefully this rule will balance out some things and more casual players will play more
