??Shoto?? or what?

so i need some help, i have a shocker body and want to use a proto m5 board with it. Do i have to do a similar Shego Mod to the humphrey noid or can i use a proto noid, i know i will have to mod it, but seeing as how the shocker uses a manifold, i think i could custom mill a manifold myself and make it work...any thoughts or suggestions?

you can just use a parker noid out of an imp (same a shocker w/o the upper board with wire leads) and wire that to the board and you'll be all set

im not quite sure an smc (dye, proto, e1/e2 frame noids, etc...) will fit inside of the frame W/ the board. arent they recessed slightly into the body on pm's and dm's? it may work with the imp noid, but i just dont know if you have the space for an smc noid.

The SMC 3 or 5-ways found in the newer DM and PM series I do not believe will fit....I think you should look for a Humphreys solenoid (with the removable upper board); it would not be difficult to create leads from the upper board to the solenoid, and the upper board is small so you can easily find room in the grip frame to put it, with just a little milling and a small tray. I would tell you to look into a nox board for the gun; they are known to be small and will more than likely add more room in your frame to adjust for less milling or none at all. Lets see....I would go to a local battery store (batterys plus here) and have them manufacture a rechargable li-ion battery with 9.6 volts output that is small...I have had it done before and it ended up being about 1/3 the size of a regular 9-volt, and they can put a regular 9-volt lead on it; I find this extremely helpful for custom products and milling.
Good luck and keep us updated!

i agree, although i would suggest a parker K4H01 (impy) noid, its the exact same thing, just no upper board, and leads already on it. Or, If you can get your hands on one, an asco base mount 4-way (ego noid) they are very small and take the same manifold mounting/ in/out ports. I should hope that with proper placing and a small enough board he wont have to use a tray, that'd kinda ruin the effect and half the purpose.

the easiest plan would to just attach the right proto noid plug to a parker (impy) noid and you should be all set if it fits

any updates? i found another reason not to use the smc noids. you'd need a lpr, unless you can get the whole gun to work at <100 psi. thats why pms, dms have lprs and why e-blades use smc noids (cheaper and more reliable, but require lp and are larger.)

That would be called a shocker with a proto frame. Not a shoto.
