Well, I finally got the hotel rooms situated! I have a block of room set up at the Joliet Holiday Inn - Convention Center. It is actually the CLOSEST hotel to CPX Sports, located approx 10 mins from the field. The property is conveniently located in an area where there are a lot of bars and restaurants. There is also a full service restaurant and bar located within the hotel. We have a block set-up from Thursday thru Sunday, cost is $89 + tax. The information is as follows:

Ok... Here is the deal. The bloc of rooms is full. BUT.. If you have made a reservation at the non-discounted price, call the hotel directly and they will override it. If you still need to book, they have an additional 60 double rooms up for grabs right now, but call them directly to book. And if you do not have a priority club card.. use mine. I like points

Also.. the rooms are all booked up at the Holiday Inn. 60 rooms gone in a weekend. We are trying to add more on right now so we can continue to get that great discount.

HOTEL UPDATE

Our bloc had 60 rooms for discount... gone... they added 10.. gone. So we are up to 70 and we are expanding it futher. Everytime the bloc depletes, they are adding on 10. Paul is calling today to expand it further.

For those people that are on a budget. Motel 6 is directly next door to the Holiday Inn. I used to live in the Chicagoland area and many of my technical courses and seminars were held at the Holiday Inn, but nearly all the out of town students stayed at the Motel 6. My wife and I have stayed there when visiting my son in Chicago. It's clean and about 1/2 the price.

Thanks for the info man. I think we might switch. Some of the guys are looking to spend more $ on paint than a hotel room that we wont really be in.

Thanks for the info HAWK. Go to know it is next door. I think the holida inn will be our hotel to use for future as well for this event. I already called to make sure about next year if we do memorial day weekend. I wanted to make sure it did not conflict with any big events like the races and so forth. And it does not.
