Where to practice?
New 5 man Novice nepl
Looking for teams to scrimmage. we are a team from Maine, Boston is a little far and the local field just closed. Any suggestions as to where would be good with some decent competition.
Birch Hill is where we played last summer, they have some great fields. Just nervous about nepl event #1 coming and the possibility that Birch wont open in time to get some decent practice in.
Thanks

Not sure how far it is.. but Fox 4 will have their airball back up in April and they have some of the best competition in New England to practice.

Boston would be about an hour closer then Fox4. Do some research, maybe some fields in New Hampshire. I hear GSP & OSG are pretty decent fields.

^the cape cod distance/time seems a little bit off. from maine, unless you have a time-traveling delorean, it should be a good 30-40 more than boston.
as for the xtreme/camelot/matt's outback, those are much farther than any of the MA fields.

Where in maine are you? Birch Hill in york has some very nice fields, not as many teams anymore but it probably alot closer to you than anything else.

The Cape Cod Distance is definately off, it's at least another hour or so from Boston Paintball. He was looking for fields within driving distance, I think 4 hours is a little long of a drive. lol

Canobie is a great place to go in Southern NH. Tournaments are being introduced and very structured rotations will be run all season. Expect competitive 7 man accompanied with 5 man/Xball style. We also have the NPPL Boston Chronic field.

Brand new - never used prior - 2008 NPPL field on it's way to Fox 4 for the start of April (hopefully before HB).

Yeah Dave its quite a ways to fox4 from Maine. I go to school in Maine (worst decision I have made...except for fully funded reball practice indoors whenever we want FTW...god i love school funding).
The only real "good" place to practice in Maine is Birch HIll. I've been to Splatz Bangor (closed) and that was a little shadey and muddy and nasty to say the least. I've also been to a place Flying Dutchman Paintball which caters basically to the woodsball / scenario player. There is an all speedball place in Searsport etc.
But saying all that again, Birch HIll has been the best place that I have gone in Maine.
Hope that helps.
Also look up reviews on pbreview.com under the fields tab at the top of the page and shows the states.
