Went there last weekend. The fields are nice as are the bunkers. There is not much shade yet, but they are working on several improvements at one time. Bring chairs, plenty to drink in the summer and some shade. The speedball field is set up nice (although I am not a speedballer). The scenario field is different than I am used to ( AND I LIKE IT) but in all fairness I have only played at one other field, and they have been built for a long time. The people that work at the field are awesome; friendly, informative and helpful. These guys want people to get involved in the sport and act like it, unlike other places that throw newbies to the wolves and drive them off. My son fell in love with the field and the people there as a result of their demeanor and willingness to teach him. As of now they use Valken paint and have some rental equipment available.
It is also a little hard to find. If you are coming from the west on Hwy61 and you pass the golf range, you missed it, turn around. If you are headed to the west it is directly past the golf range. and the entrance to the area is a dirt road.
Talking with the staff there are alot of plans for development in the future, and they appear that they will have one of the best run fields in the region.
Glad to hear the great response to my new field. We are adding some new covered areas to get out of the sun. A 10x20 tent, (2) 10x10 tents and a new 16x12 steel roof shelter.
We also have refreshments for sale, like water , soda, and Gatorade at a reasonable price.
