New Field Opening up!!!!!

Paintball Quest will be re-opening on August 1st of this year!!!!!

same great fields, but new ownership......

The wooded fields will be up and going along with a new and improved PSP field........The old airball area is being extended and professionally leveled to current PSP dimesions.....the field will be sodded in April, watered all summer, and ready to rock in August!!!!

However, The focus of Paintball Quest will be on the beginning paintball player. We want to see paintball as a sport grow. The only way this will happen is to continously bring in new players.

My vision for the field is to have a staff of tournament players who are dedicated to helping the beginner player grow. Some of those players will turn into regulars, some will go towards scenario ball, and some will end up with us playing tournaments. We want to see all paintball players have a good time and a good place to play no matter what style of ball they prefer.

If we are focusing on beginners why are we spending so much money on a PSP field? The first answer is I personally love tournament ball. Second, I want to have the PSP available for any of the staff that wants to get involoved and help grow the recball side of the field. For all of the more experienced players who are willing to buyin to our vision and help grow paintball I want to have a field that we all can practice on and get ready for tournaments at an affordable cost. While the PSP field will be available to anyone who wants to play on it our main focus is to give back to the staff who help make the entire paintball field possible.

Lastly, tournament sponsorship programs will be avaiable to those who want to be part of the staff. It doesn't matter if u play for a team thats out of Quest or another team that already exists, the sponsorships will be on an individual basis.........Over the next several months LOTS will be happening at the fields....if u are interested in volunteering on some of the large work days plz PM me your information.....

Thanks,
Wiley Gordon

Wiley,

On behalf of myself and Central Alabama Paintball Park, I sincerely wish you the best of luck on your venture, and look forward to working with you towards growing the sport as a whole.

I look forward to collaborating with you in the very near future.

glad to hear this! awesome!
please be sure safety is a main priority like the old PBQ had. I hate to see places where people pull masks off on the field, as well as other things like this.

safety will be top priority

second priority will be the new players experience......over shooting will NOT be tolerated......additionally, for RECBALL, there will be no ramping and a 10 BPS limit on electros.....if someone with an electro continually breaks the rules they will politely be asked to not come back......

we are 100% comitted to growing the sport.....while I ABSOLUTELY love playing in PSP mode, that style of play is not easy to get thrown into....we need to have an environment that allows the NEW player to get comfortable with our sport.........

I just hope the old fields will remain.

None the less I will definitely take a peek.

....

Field locations will be the same, however some of the layouts will be different

Some the same, overall I believe people will be very happy with the setup

Wiley.. glad to hear you'll be gearing your field towards new players. I've always said that too often tournament players are the sport's worst enemy. Not all tournament players are bad apples. But it only takes a few bad attitudes with a high end marker to ruin paintball for a whole lot of people.

Good Luck bringing PBQ back. I spent a lot of time there and hated to see it close.

Tournament players can be a major asset to a field or they can crush the growth of a field

It all depends on their attitude.

That being said there will be plenty of tournament only play on the airball field
All of the above discussion is aimed at protecting recballers
If the tournament guys dont want to change their style of play with recballers then simply don't play recball

As a request that I'm sure MANY people would agree with, PLEASE keep some type of spools field. That was by far my favorite recball field.

If I can find enough spools I would love to have a spool themed field

However, the old spool field will become a different field then before.... It will become the castle field or modern warfare field

Dang Wiley,
I wondered where you have been. We don't use pb Nation anymore, we use facebook for most of our communication. Glad to see you getting involved at the next level. Next time in Jackson, give me a call. Note: We purchased 50 acres and moved field to new location back in July. Visit our website for directions.

Take care and best of luck, anything I can do give me a call.

August 3rd is the official opening weekend

We will have a grand opening a couple weeks later. Will give us a chance to work all the kinks out

If anyone has a group of 10 or more for the month of August I would be happy to give a discount. I already have several groups coming through the first couple of weekends just to get the staff, fields, and logistics worked out. I want the customer experience to be smooth so we will run for the month of August the have a grand opening somewhere around first of September

Check my new post for more info
