Uniting Paintballers for Breast Cancer Research Foundation “The Cancer Shootout”

Welcome to our paintball charity event. Come out and have fun while raising much needed funds for breast cancer research- your grandmothers, mothers, sisters, daughters, granddaughters, aunts, cousins, & nieces will thank you. The Paintball Group and UnitedPaintballers.com will be hosting 2 charity event paintball games to raise awareness and money for breast cancer research in October 2008.

On October 11, 2008 and October 25, 2008, there will be charity paintball games to benefit breast cancer research. The event on October 11th will be at Capt'n Carl’s Paintball in Aston Pa, and the event on October 25th will be at Lehigh Valley South Paintball (LVP) in Hatfield, Pa. Even if you cannot attend the events, donations to help out will be accepted via the website www.unitedpaintballers.com. At both events you will be able to play one game (woods ball), three games (speedball), half day, or full day. We will have an attack and defend game at LVP South as the same time as the charity event. This event will support the experienced scenario players while still providing games for first timer players supporting the charity.

Pricing for the day will be as follows:

We will have two types of paint. $50 & $55 per case. $15 for bags of paint (500 ct). The field does offer additional clothing so as not to ruin anything you are already wearing.

“One Game Package”
For just one game, it is $15 with rental and one hopper full of paint. If after one game you decide you need more of a rush then you can always upgrade your package to the half day plan for an additional $25. This package is great for introducing someone new to the sport.

“Shoot out Package”
We will also be offering a three game tournament package. Three speedball games with rental marker, full hopper, and a bag of 500 balls for $30. You will be able to purchase an extra paint with this package. This package is great for settling rivalries. IE: The bosses VS staff, one staff VS another staff.

“Half Day Package”
For the player with limited time, it’s $15 with your own equipment.

“Hard Core Player”
For the dedicated paintballers that want to play all day, it’s $25 with your own equipment.

Also there will be our shooting gallery. This will be for those who want to shoot at something and not be shot at. So please tell your friends and family and bring as many people as you can. Remember this is for charity.

Well, you and three friends get a full back stage pass to meet many of the pro players, watch them practice, get tips and ideas as well as receive paintball jersey's autographed by the pros. October 11th 2008 is the first event at Captain Carl's Paintball field located in Ashton, Pa. and the second event is at L.V.P. South in Hatfield, Pa.

THE STORY...

The year is 2277. It has been two hundred years since the Great War bathed the world in nuclear fire. No countries remain, only broken wastelands where scattered survivors struggle against a dark and barren world. It is a place where a man’s life is cheaper than a gallon of clean water; where roving bands of raiders and super mutants rule the wild lands between the small and scattered settlements that remain. It is into this land that you have been born. It doesn’t matter if you were born in the scarred landscape of the wastes or within the chemically sanitized walls of a high-tech Vault, your goal is the same. Only one thing matters to anyone now and that is survival, by any means and at any cost.

THE TEAMS

Team 1 - Vault 115 - ADVANTAGE: Technology

Only a small percentage of the world population made it into the Vault-Tech Vaults that had been prepared and designed against the perceived inevitability of nuclear annihilation. Within the vaults, people had clean air and water and sustainable sources of food. Laws were strict and life was rigidly structured, for this promoted an efficiently ordered, if not joyful existence.

Low on supplies and food, the General (commander of vault 115) has ordered a return to the surface. The residents of the Vault believed that the world would heal and rebuild during their time underground. They were wrong.

If you believe in the order that comes from a strong and structured society…. Or maybe if you just believe it’s a good idea to bring a Mark V Blaster to a knife fight – Vault 115 is the team for you.

Team 2 - The Brotherhood - ADVANTAGE: Numbers

This gang rose to power in the Wastes because it was more vicious and effective than the next mob – surviving by working for the highest bidder and taking any jobs that came along. They took what they wanted when they needed it, not caring one way or the other for rules or laws along the way. This made them many enemies.

The Brotherhood is numerous and their current leader Kristov rules them well. But they need power to survive in the wastes, they need technology. The gang grows more desperate as supplies begin to dwindle and each one of them knows that unless things change, it's only a mater of time.

If you believe in taking what you want instead of asking. If you believe strength is what makes men great. Or maybe if you’re just a mean and cruel SOB – The Brotherhood is the team for you.

THE FORMAT

ROUNDS - Wasteland will be played in individual battles (each lasting up to an hour), with breaks of 10-15 minutes between each engagement. There are six battles in the scenario.
OBJECTIVES - Each round will have a varying number of objectives based on the story behind the battle. Taking, Defending or Carrying these objectives will score your team points.
POINTS - Each team will be scored on their performance in each battle, based on the number of objectives obtained. At the end of the day, the team with the most points will be declared the winner.
RESOURCES - Starting with the 4th round of the scenario, team Commanders can spend points on various bits of technology and other goods that can assist their team in the coming battles. These points must be spent carefully because once spent, they are removed from the team total.

2009 Mid-Atlantic High School Regional Championships
Date: Saturday, March 28th
Venue: Paintball Adventure Park

The National Collegiate Paintball Association is extremely pleased to announce the return of the High School Paintball Regional Championships, including a GUARANTEED FREE TRIP to the High School Paintball National Championships in April.

This event is set up primarily to be FUN and INEXPENSIVE, but as an added bonus, the winner of the event is GUARANTEED a FREE trip to the National Championships on April 18th at Central Florida Paintball in Lakeland, Florida.

Format: 3-man, 3 minutes
Paint: Limited. Teams enter the field with 3 full hoppers or 3 empty hoppers and 4 140-round pods
Firing Mode: Semi-Auto Only
Entry: $120/team
Paint: Tentatively $40 & $45/case
Prizes: Trophies, plus each winner receives a $1,000 travel reimbursement to attend the National Championships, along with FREE entry and a FREE case of paint

Eligibility:

Your team does *NOT* need to be recognized or official at your school in any way. The only requirement is that all players on the team be students at the same school, OR, would be students at the same public high school if they were to enroll in public high school.

Remember, FUN and INEXPENSIVE!

Every team is restricted to players from their own school, so don't worry too much about acquiring the best talent in your area, because nobody else can either. This is your chance to get some friends who may not be serious tournament players to come out and have a good time. Who knows, maybe you'll get them hooked. And if things go your way, you might find yourself in central Florida in April playing for a National Championship!

We are having this game as our Grand Re-opening as well for our brand new Pro-shop and new Double Castle field Known as "Junk-a-lot". We are also pleased to announce our new "Zero-Op" Computerized Turret that will protect key locations on the field. As I mentioned Greg Hastings will be our guest host as part of his "Tour of Duty" for 2009. There will be prizes as well as some awesome raffles, a band for your further entertainment, and food will be included for an extra fee. Imagin if all the 5 man teams that play the TPA Cup put in 2 three man teams and all the 3 man teams play too!! We could easily have over 40+ teams. Let's see if we can get 40+ teams this event!!!

I know most 5 man teams don't like playing 3 man but....... LOOK AT THE PAYOUT!!! Heck this ONE event could help you recoop what you paid out playing events in 2009 OR this kind of bank roll would cover most of your event costs for 2010!!!

Just tell me what you want to play for based on a $75 entry and I'll build it hahah... $75 x 20 = $1500, $75 x 30 = $2250 or $75 x 40 = $3000!!!!!
