Anything over 80 that's not a tournament grade paint is a ripoff.

High Velocity is the most expensive paintball establishment I have ever been to. Even on days when they have "supposed" free admission, they still charge you $15 for air and the paint is $90 on those events, so you save NOTHING! Granted they are the only scenerio type field on Long Island, but when I have to pay $50 to 60 more for 2 people to get in than other places, no thank you. Even their indoor facility is expensive. They never have a BYOP day or anything similar.

Ill only go to HiVi if im with a big group of people so that I can spread the cost.

Paint is where they make the money. Keep in mind that Hivi owns the land it is on, it is responsible for its upkeep, must pay employees and make a profit...
However, $80 -$90 is way too steep when for a much less hit on the wallet you could always drive another 15 -20 minutes east and play at Cousins and it is cheaper. But you are getting what you pay for. So, ask yourself this. Do you spend the additional cost and play on very elaborate fields or save some cash and play on "low cost, less elaborate" fields?

I have a guy from Montreal that plays for one of my teams, and paint is $115-120/case at some of the fields up around him

If you go to the store the paint is cheaper. I'm use to paying $25-35 a case and I still have no problem going to HIVI Outdoor and spending the money.

Its by far the best scenerio field anywhere around here. If you go to any rec field and try to shoot a case of paint your prob just a jerk. Go with a friend split a case and just have a good time.

Anyone else ever have to play 41 vs 41 at HiVi??? I have, it isn't the best way to "Just have a good time". There were more than enough referees and staff on hand to have split the walk-ons into a smaller group. So on top of the Price of paint and admission totaling $82 (with a friend to split the paint) you sometimes get cramped into these overcrowded games. Trust me even on woods or WWII that's too many people to "just have a good time".

High Velocity normal cost (non-promotional)
$122 = admission, air and 2000 paintballs
$82 = admission, air and 1000 paintballs (when split with a friend)

Cousins Paintball normal cost (non-promotional)
$95 = admission, air and 2000 paintballs
$62.50 = admission, air and 1000 paintballs (when split with a friend)

Solo price difference of $27
Duo price difference of $19.50
I prefer to save money and shoot more paint, that's how I have a good time.

And cousins is even cheaper if you have a season pass. I pay $55 total to go to cousins with my season pass. Granted you pay more up front but it pays for itself, u get free admission and air and 2000 paintballs is only $55. It is the best deal around Period! I just wish they still had an indoor location.
