Try the new JT barrels. THey're the same basic design as a boomer, only they thread together so you won't get a crooked one.

I've seen threaded two pieces that didn't align correctly - (CP two piece). Anyhow the JT's are a more economical boomstick in my opinion. To my experience, every after-market barrel shoots as good as the next with the proper paint-barrel match. Some will be quieter then others, some may clean out better then others. I chose the Freak because it was the most economical way to always have a good match.
Anyhow - I have a Freak and a Boomstick, now the boomstick does counter-balance kick a little more most of the time because the SS piece on it is heavier, but if the boomstick does not match the paint perfectly I won't use it.
This belongs in the Barrels and Paint forum, I'll leave a redirect link here though.
Thanks,
Jeff

JT barrels also look like boomsticks and are .688 bore, same as the boomstick.

Boo yahs and JT's new barrels both look EXTREMELY similar to DYE's boomstick. However the JT's tips and backs seperate, and I'm not sure if the boo yah's do but I know the boomsticks don't. According to the APG I received yesterday the JT barrel comes in .686 .688 (standard bore of boomer) and .690 - they have a full page add with Chris LaSoya and his red LCD milled with "PB 2K" on it.

Well the Boomstick are not SUPPOSED to separate. But sometimes good barrels go bad… Mine just came apart the other day and I’m in the prossess of fixing it. <sigh>
Cheers!
