I will lose the last shred of respect I had for them if they do that.

H.P. Lovecraft is an amazing writer. I quite enjoy his work. There's just as much of a cult audience for his books, as any other writer. (I.E.: Anne Rice, J.R.R. Tolkien, J.K. Rowling, etc.)
And Cthulhu is just one of those things that attains bad-*** status, just for being what he is.

yeah, there's like a million bands that use cthulu and HP lovecraft as an influence and as inspiration. I love the myth that Lovecraft created arund the necronomicon Ex Mortus. basically he invented the Necronomicon in one of his books and it got mentioned with a lot of other (both legitimate and fictional) books of the dead as being authentic, so it just blew up from there. He made millions believe that the Necronomicon was real.

He's a better writer than L. Ron Hubbard, and Hubbard made people believe that his "religion" is the way.

So whats going on guys? Haven't been in here much. Any new released come out in the past month worth checking out? I need something new to listen to.
Also, Lovecraft is awesome. It's always nice to see a racist, "homophobic", sexist, anti-christianity/science person become such an influential writer.

Sculptured - Embodiment
Of course I'm going to recommend it, but you might not like it.

Triggers are lame and totally un-metal.
In other news, I'm surprised to see that the Amon Amarth album I downloaded from iTunes is in 320 kbps and not the usual 128 kbps.
Whatev. I'm as happy as a viking dying on the battlefield right now.
