Oil...?

Well if any of you know me, you'd know I am a clean freak when comes to my gear. I recently bought a 3 year old tank, and love it so far. Being old, I cant help but believe its 'dirty'

If I were to put a drop or two of oil in the fill nipple before filling would it help to lube up the reg a bit? (Its a preset screw in duck by the way)

I'm worried about it eating away at the inside of the tank, or wose effects...figured I'd just ask.

I'm not positive about that tank, but I dont think thats a good idea. If the reg has a gauge attached to it, that oil will really mess it up. I think a lot of regs it is better to clean with somthing like Dow33 opposed to gun oil. Again, this is just what I heard with the tanks I have used (Conquest, Maxflow, Geddon, they all said not to use gun oil)

Well.. you could put oil in the fill nipple if you wanted to mess it up. Seriously don't do that. If you want to clean your reg.. take it apart and clean it correctly.

P.S. Make sure that the tank is empty if your gonna take it apart.

Heh, I didnt think it'd be a good idea...

The tank is a screw in, a bit harder to clean/take apart then Max's, etc.

It isnt that big of a deal, it shoots good, no problems, I was just curious...
