You realize a j&j is a cheap barrel right?
Go to the BST barrels and pick up an impulse/ion freak kit. You can get an entire kit for probably $80. Freak jr for even less.

The j&j ceramic barrels perform great for the price. I wouldn't bash them until you've used on. They are certainly not low quality. Quite the opposite.

Yeah J&J's are great barrels, the company has been around for quite a while. Most of their barrels are made out of a ceramic material that is light weight and shoots itself clean of ball breaks very quickly. They may be cheap in price, but they most certainly are not cheap in quality. I have also owned their edge kit which is very nice...

You want good accuracy, then get a barrel kit to match paint/bore. Only way to achieve higer accuracy and consistency with paintballs. Freak Jr. might be the cheapest kit to start with and once you get the inserts you can upgrade to either the full freak, deadlywind kits and all of the various fronts that can be added to the freak backs. As far as length, if shooting HPA no more than 14", if LP (I don't think you will be but who knows?) then 16" is the max.
Since you said you play front/snake then look into maybe 10" or so, would allow for maximum ball acceleration with at least 6" of stabilization. BTW I use a 6" freak insertable barrel on my main marker (not the vibe, sorry ) and it shoots fine enough for closer play. Have a CCM barrel with two sizers on the way though for my vibe!

I personally didnt have a good experience with the progressive barrel because when a ball broke in the barrel it wouldnt clear out very well. The Custom Products 12 inch works great on my vibe!

What do you mean by dust? Like a dust finish so its not a polished finish.?. Do you know if its quieter than the stock barrel, by any chance...
