"Fitz, I am not as concerned with the price of paint and I do not mind making the commitment to play but I do need to know what is the standard for making sure that the class is fair? Are we going to go with the PSP or NPPL registration? Is there a Colorado registration? We have signed up at Blitz and have been playing in their tournements, last year was our first. I just do not want to commit to a tournament schedule and come in as a rookie team, then get walked on by D-1, Open or maybe even some Pro players. This would be a real discouraging thing.. It seems to me that if teams are going to commit to any tournements, they need to be convinced that they are going to be fair and I am not talking about Prize's, I am talking about being matched up against comparable skill levels.. you know what I mean... I also realize that there are always going to be some bugs that will need to be worked out with anything new and I am sure that you will do everything in your power to make things fair..
Thanks!!!"

I would suggest using the APPA system... its the fairest way to make sure players play within their divisions. It's what we use in the PSP and CFOA tournaments. and its cheap like 30 a season for an ID that holds all your stats and player information

see above for your answer, and the APPA cost money to use for the event promoter. Also this will be our system and it cost us nothing.

I think the ppl putting on the event know pretty much everyone in the game around here nowadays (even us old guys) so sandbagging issues should be minimal. As long as the reffing is fair the tourney will be good. The old MSTS was about the best thing to CO paintball and unfortunately that went under. Plz just no more Scottie/Sharpshooters BS and I will be glad to enter a team. As far as paint prices go if you are playing, and you dont figure to spend a $100 bill each day you are out then you need to rethink your budget for paintball. Getting a good tourney for that price is unheard of and should normally figure to spend 2x that for a good tourney without hesitation.

You all can rest and know that everything will be on the up and up. On a side note, I reffed the MSTS and so did my team back then. All we want to do is raise the bar in coloado for event and play. If you want to come great if you dont thats just as well too. Make the next one, or dont, pound sand or dont. For all those that dont know, this is huge pain in the a** for us to put on and for those that dont just give it a try. I would like to come to your event as well.

According to that system alot of people who play rookie should really play novice. Idk that seems inconsistent with the other tourneys in the state. If we standardized all of them then it would be a little better.

According to the copbplayerclass site, any team with 3 tournaments under their belt Prior to Janurary-1 is considered to be novice. We did play in 3 (our first 3) tournaments last year and based on this we would be thrown into the Novice/Open class for this X-ball series. Well, I have no dilusions about our abilities, we have a lot to learn!! We love paintball, and want to play in more tournaments. This being said, I have NO intention of "donating" $200.00 to a tournament which we as Novice players have absolutly NO chance of winning against Open, Pro and other teams with MUCH more than (3) tournaments under their belt.. Not to mention, including the cost of paint, this will end up being over a $700.00 day for 5 players. Just too much for us to get schooled.
Sorry Fitz but we have to back out of this one.. Good luck with the series!!

As long as no ones obviously sand bagging get over it

Personally i could give a **** less how much i spend on paint as long as i get to put that paint in ur face, walk away with the prize money, and more gold around my neck. Ill shoot what ever you goy

Also idk what every ones deal is with bad paint as long as my gat is working i can shoot anything out of it accurately and with no chops.

I mean the three 5 mans i played in this year at PBA my team got first in all three an all we did was shoot that **** 2nds paint.

And finaly if you’re telling me i can spend my same hard earned money, on lagit TOP LVL PAINT for the SAME COST? im not only gona to be there my teams gona be there and any team that we stomped down on last seasons is gona b there to see if it really was all the paints fault as to why they didn’t win.

You're right crappy paint is usually overpriced for some reason and I'd be glad to pay $60-$65 a case for something that deserves it. And i am really freaking sick of hearing the "that paint sucked" excuse from people.
