Ok, so heres the deal my dad lives in hawaii so i end up spending about half the summer on oahu...well i wanted to bring down my gear this time, but i realised to fly with my gear the reg has to be removed from my tank. now i have a shop to do it here on the mainland but i was wondering if any of the local shops could put it back on for me when i got there? if so do you have a idea on price? and slighly of topic what does paint typically run on bellowes and does anyone know the rules for paintball gear in korea?
just find a o-ring that fits on the part that screws onto your tank and put it on...the shop in the mainland should know that...but if it fits on your reg correctly then it should seal up correctly too...I had a friend at 808 paintball do it for me when I travel off island and it works just fine...but you can go to any shop over here and have them do it but if you wanna go to 808 paintball then here's his number...808-864-1610 and ask for Ken...he'll gladly do it for you...
when I traveled, I shipped both my tank and gun via USPS to my brothers place because of two main reasons:
1. You don't have to worry about people going through your gearbag and stealing your gun and tank, your two most expensive pieces of equipment, after you check it in at the airport.
2. You don't have to take the reg off of your tank, Just make sure there is no air inside when you ship it.
Shipping may cost at most $10 as stated above, and in my opinion, it's well worth it.
