Is DC hiding something from us?
This might be old news, but I was checking out an old thread and coolhand said something of interest. It's towards the middle. (The whole thing is in regards to Evil M bodies.)

Then I could develop all the workarounds, manufacture the parts, get them anodized, find electronics, and assemble them all in the split second between 1:07:59 AM and 1:08:00 AM. Step out of normal space time, step back in with a batch of finished markers to sell.
While I'm wishing, I want to be 6" taller, irresistible to (attractive) women, immortal, super strong, and a billionaire. Additionally, I want a pony, world peace, and a return of common sense.
Fact is guys, I'm just too damned busy to take on a project of this size, and even if I weren't this busy, well, I'm not sure that I could pull it off even then. It's one hell of an undertaking. Sure to cost thousands and thousands of dollars, take months and months of time, and to end with me being even more tired of working on PB guns that I am right now.
I have heard that Destructive Customs is going to do something with the rest of them though. I've even talked to Jared or Chris (I can't remember which just now) about selling them the ones I have as well.
I dunno. Whatever happens will still be four or five years too late to be earthshaking, and will cost considerably more than the typical "high end" marker currently does (think upper $1200's to $1400), and I'm not even sure a market even exists for such a thing anymore.
The engineer in me wants to solve the technical problems and build the things, come hell or high water, but the realist in me says that there are many other, more enjoyable, ways to waste thousands of dollars and months of my life. I mean, I could build another race car for example. That's guaranteed to cost many thousands and shorten my life span measurably, while simultaneously being about forty orders of magnitude more fun.
It's late, and I'm bitter. lol
And now I'm using this smiley again:
I like that little guy even more than Dodgy, I think. Captures exactly what I feel like sometimes.

I ruin everything... that's what I'm here for. But it's all just hear say anyway, doesn't actually say he even sold them the bodies.

I like to think that DC has something up their sleeves for us, but then common sense makes me realize that anything electronic is on shaky ground, especially if it's AKA style.

lol AKA the community that never sleeps or stops thinking
I'm unsure as to why one of these hasn't been completed, because the electronics end of the deal can easily be solved with another company buying componets and assembling them under that compaines name. I think this community has me spending more time thinking about and spending money then any other.

I doubt DC would do much without getting some opinions from the loyalists if they are gonna work on any large scale project. Like coolhand said its something that would take a long time and be a significant investment on the part of the designer so it could easily be that DC just has em sitting in a box because of the lack of time and/or money.

I was talking to Ryan (Coolhand), and he was telling me there is a problem with the solenoid porting too. They need a modified noid or manifold.

A manifold wouldn't be too hard to make from a machining stand point, but the simpler option would be to run a barbed solenoid remotly from the frame like a timmy. It could also be set up like a B2K with the noid mounted to the bottom of body but feeding the ram throuh hoses.

Yeah, that could be done. I'd personally rather run a manifold or modified solenoid.
B2K's use maifold. Are you sure you aren't thinking of a BKO? The BKO still has the ram fed by the solenoid, and the lpr runs to the ram housing with a hose to feed the solenoid though.

Yeah. Doing it like the BKO woul stilld be as hard as a manifold or modifying a solenoid though, because you'd still have to use the porting on the body for the solenoid. Either way, it really wouldn't be too hard to get a solenoid mounted on one of the evil m bodies.

A project like that is too big to keep it secret, as well with needing a huge interest from this forum.

I wonder how many times we will be tempted with the Evil-M before we are able to get them, if ever...
